  How would YOU explain cognitive disonance to a Jehovahs Witness on your doorstep

  Yeah i would attack the partaking subject, 1John 5;1 says that all who believe in christ are gods sons, then go over to gospel John 6:47- here Jesus says anyone that eats will have life the word 'anyone' is repeated several times and towards the end in verse 53 hes says that if you do not eat you do not have life. At the end verse says he was teaching at the synagogue at capernaum showing he was not talking to just the apostles. Then you may ask where does it say that the 144k are anointed? Then you might ask or comment 'sounds like you religion is denying you the messiah for just the elite leaders, it that really scriptural?'

  Please help. I am losing the plot.

  after being a witness for 40 years, i now find myself disfellowshipped.. i have had a number of doubts for a few years now, but still feel as if i'm living my life in the "t minus " to armageddon spector.. my parents are in their 80's and my dear mother is in very bad health.

  i was allowed to pop through - about once a month to make sure my parents were ok and for them to see their grandchildren.

  this all ended after the july watchtower article and especially since the district convention - with all the "counsel" on associating with disfellowshipped family members.. around 6 weeks ago, my dad asked me point blank why i wasn't trying to get reinstated.

  Where's the scriptural basis for shuning a non believer of a religion? There isn't one, in fact Jesus said to love even your enemies and Paul said to keep admonishing them as a 'brother'. If one is shunned then he is not considered a brother, this religion is purely evil.

  letter from a close family member... need help responding.... what a powerful illustration of the affect that our choice of friends can have on us, especially if we leave jehovah after being 'raised' by him from infancy!.

  Isn't it amazing how these people act. Jesus talked about leaving the flock to save just one sheep, yet these people say that if you're not in the flock be gone, totally ass backwards from what Jesus said.

  Man i would pay a thing because of the way they're treating you, there a scripture in the new testament can't remember where about if you don't take care of you family you a piece of crap. I would find this scripture and text it to your brother and let your parents know that since the debt were because they helped him that hes responsible.

  then tell them that they're having all these problems because Jehovah draws people to Jesus and not himself mention the scripture and that you are being blessed because you know have a relationship with Jesus. You may also want to mention that the bible several times says not to judge and they have judge you so you can not in good conscience help someone that has judged you as mentally diseased.

  Make one wonder if people are so quick to shun over a link or a topic is it something to do with the brainwashing they receive? I was in for over 40 years and never thought like this, always of the opinion that we have the truth so bring it on anyone that wants to challenge us no problem the truth will vindicate itself.

  given that jw's accept the same substances found in blood, such as albumin, if they are found in other places, could doctors perhaps extract white blood cells from mother's milk and give this to jw's?

  they are still white blood cells, i guess they would do the same function as "white blood cells from blood", while throwing a huge wrench at the jw blood policy..... lots of jw's (and outsiders) would ask themselves,.

  can't get white blood cells from blood, but can get white blood cells from mother's milk?.

  The fact that the rank and file have no problem accepting Hemopure, which is cows blood shows how delusional they are. There really is no hope for ones asleep in a cult.
