three weeks ago, the citizens in beijing, china paraded tiananmen square, celebrating the milestone with hugs, jubilant cheers, and singing.

over 600,000 chinese citizens assembled in tiananmen square to watch the u.s. debt clock mounted above the forbidden city reach the landmark sum of $18 trillion dollars.. you could stay home and watch it on tv, but its much more exciting to be here with people from all over the country to celebrate this momentous day, said beijing resident xiao bu, noting that he always arrives in the early morning to stake out a good location in the square every time americas debt rises by another trillion.. i remember my father taking me to see the $5 trillion mark so long ago, and now im bringing my own children here to take part in the festivities.

its really a special part of our nations culture.. while most revelers left shortly after the rollover, an estimated 100,000 reportedly decided to just wait around in the square until the clock struck $19 trillion.. at the moment, the u.s national debt had decreased by a small amount since the rollover, amounting to just under 18 trillion dollars in debt.. in 2008, the u.s standard debt clock that towered new york city had reached 10 trillion.

I vaguely remember, wasn't there a scripture in the Bible about Jesus saying to forgive 7 times 7 or something. No matter I'm sure the JW's took it out of their new Bible.

we had an announcement in our cong last week about the upcoming one day assembly.

the title of the assembly is "imitate jehovah".

hi this is for the lurkers.. please start reading from another translation and use tools like www.biblehub.com to verify the differences you find.. biblehub has an interlinear and a strongs concordance and heaps of dictionaries and commentaries.. you don't have to be a translator but you can clearly see how the watchtower bible and tract society has changed the bible to devalue jesus, to support their idea of a paradise earth hope for christians and many other false doctrines.. i could never understand why the jw's where attacked when they chose to translate the bible - now i know.. seriously people, there are a lot smarter people than me on this forum and heaps of research.

New songs at meetings

today at the wt study one of the new songs was used.

how has this been going in other congs - at my hall about two thirds had it on either tablets or phones with lyrics on or printed out, rest just stood looking blank.

singing very poor.

I agreed whole heartily, the last year I still went I partook at my last memorial. Then I moved on with my knowledge and became and agnostic. But your right this evil religion takes Salvation and the gift of Grace and Jesus himself away from the R&F and make them instead do worship to the idol that is the Organization, just like the Catholic church.

Here is a great video clip of Jackson lying about whether or not he is the only channel of communication's to people from god. What's even more striking to me is he doesn't just say that it would be arrogant of him to say this but goes on to say that others out side the GB could also be used. Unbelievable, since they have written time and time again that they are it, and only them. I believe they have even written that the other 144k anointed ones are not important and they too must take direction from the GB, I could be wrong on this. The conventions and the memorial are a pain in the butt for me.

i can imagine those of you who have a spouse that is not awake and how hard it must be.

i have a 90 year old mom who is a jw and still puts in 12 hrs a month in field service.

the brothers and sisters are always picking her up for conventions, meetings and memorials and as much as i try to avoid them, there are times when i just cant.

I would of also said cows blood 'hemopure'. If they ever show up that's what I'm going to do as well. Nothing pissed me off more when I found out that Jesus said ' we desire mercy not sacrifice' and in Mark 'nothing eaten by a man can defile him' Of course we can't argue or ask a question that goes against their doctrine so turning it around like you did is the best way. Bunch of murders!!!

Had to go to a JW funeral yesterday.

it's amazing how ones shun former witnesses or faders.

a couple of people said high to me that know i do not go but the rest no.

but the main reason i post is how ridiculous the funeral talk was.

It's amazing how ones shun former witnesses or faders. A couple of people said high to me that know I do not go but the rest no. But the main reason I post is how ridiculous the funeral talk was. Many times they talk about the dead and what a great witnesses they were and they then may give a brief witness. This time the speaker goes back and explains all the basics about Adam and Eve the original sin God sending his son the Paradise earth etc etc. I was kinda floored he would go back to such basics. At the end they all sang song 134 I believe, designed to emotionally to push their doctrine of a resurrection and a paradise.

It's such a weird experience to once have been one of of these really ignorant people and now be looking in through the window so to speak knowing how really stupid and deceived these people are. Yet at the same time most are so arogant that all you want to do is get the heck away from them as fast as possible. Sad really sad.
