Is the WT SLOW-ly Changing the importance of the Door to Door preaching work to something more profitable?
by John Aquila inits been a couple of weeks since a new c.o.

I know of someone that requested a study on their website and never heard from anyone. Also getting rid of door to door work would make it easier for them to retain kids and attract new ones that would never sign up because they don't want to do it. -

What's the craziest thing someone INFORMED on you about?
by Londo111 inthe culture of jws as encouraged by the watchtower is one of informing on one another, reporting to either the elders or ones designated head.
whats the wackiest thing that someone reported on you?
im not talking about a black-and-white watchtower rule that would land you in a judicial committee, but some judgmental nonsense that someone thought they should turn you in about?.

Our hall gets a new elder in charge whatever there called these days. This is when I was teenager. Anyway he had two boys about the same age as many of us. A few months go by and we decide to play football. Next day at meeting were all pulled in to a meeting by this head elder and he starts yelling at us and mostly me for swearing during this game. I guess one of his kids the youngest I believe turned us in. He was chewing into me the most but later stopped and started to chew in to another friend more when he found out this guy was older.
What this pompice ass didn't realize was his oldest boy was the oldest of the group and not one of us started swearing until his kids were doing it. Later his oldest left the truff and became the first apostate I had ever known.

Need Help with Blood Transfusion Illustration
by Dissonant15 inplease, who can provide an intelligent rebuttal to the following illustration?
i always thought it was bullet-proof:.
"if your doctor directs you to 'abstain from alcohol' would you be ok to have it injected into your veins rather than drink it?

There is a lot of good illustration here, I like the one about being told by a doctor not to eat meat so that must mean no liver transplant . But really you could just go for the throat and say Jesus our master said at Mark 7:18 nothing entering into a man can defile him and at Matthew chapter 12 hes talking about how the law can and should be broken if it allows for saving a life verse 7or 8 he says "we desire mercy not sacrifice". Then you may ask, Is Jesus not your king and master? -

Where did they understood the anointed ones would be before the "great crowd" "revelation"?
by paradisebeauty inthis is a question on old doctrine of jw's.
before they came up with the "great crowd" "revelation", where did they preached that the anointed ones will be?
because if they preached it will be in heaven, how did they understood that the prophecies about the earth will be fulfilled?

There was actually a time when Rutherford preached 4 classes. It's also interesting that when Rutherford saw the UN in Israel about the late 1940's is when he came up with the idea of the UN being the beast standing in the Holy place. This is because they still believed that the literal Israel was going to be involved in end time prophecies. -

Been encouraging my husband to contact his DF'd brother
by atacrossroads inmy husband has a brother he has not spoken too in years not even when he became an adult.
there is a big age gap between them and when his brother was df'd he was still a small child.
his brother was 17 when he was df'd for sex and when he turned 18 he left home and never looked back.

Silly Bible things you notice when your awake.
by Crazyguy ini sure you guys can list others but here is a thought about the exodus story.
in chapter 1 the pharoah is concerned that the israelites are becoming to numerous.
and just as a side point we can assume pharaohs were not to dumb and even if they were the smart people of egypt studied in the temple 40 years and they studied all things not just religion.

Here's one, Solomons temple only about 35 feet wide and about 100 feet long. Two stories high made of stone and wood. So it's about as big as a large house. But it took 10,000 men per month and a support team of stone and wood workers in excess of 150,000 7 years to build the place. -

Who Really is ..... The Blood Washed Multitude (Great Crowd) ?
by Perry infor jw's the issue has never been who the faithful and wise servant (f&ds) was.
that is just misdirection and sleight of hand.
it is plain from the context that this was obviously a rhetorical question meant for self introspection.

The key is its all about Blood, everything in the Bible is about blood and death. The fact is that the God of the Bible and the people of the Bible were all about animal and human sacrifice. The Romans were forced to outlaw human sacrifes the Phoenicians/Cannanites we're still doing. One sick group of people. -

Rutherford taught multiple classes but I'm not sure about Russell, the book shown above is from Rutherford, is it not Saint? -

Ok with that said would it not be way more effective to kill the girl babies of Israel not the boys? If you don't get my point a rancher if wanting to grow his herd he will have many females, yet only needs a couple of males.
