  Jehovah wants everyone to hear the message before the end comes

  when you ask a jw why hasn't god brought an end to the old system it is because he is being patient and he wants everyone to have the opportunity for everlasting life.

  they will say that every year over 200,000 become jw's (most of whom are born ins).

  the problem that i have is that every year over 130,000,000 people are born which means that every year he delays in destroying the nations there will be 130,000,000 more people to murder and bury.

  Ask your jw why they can't even get the good news message right? 1 Corinthians chapter 15 and Galatians chapter 1 specifically says what the good news is. It's that Jesus Christ is the messiah and died and was raised showing that we to can be raised and have eternal life through and because of him. He is the good news of the Kingdom, yet JWs almost never talk about him. Of course I don't believe any of it but that's what the Bible says so if your a believer, believe correctly!

  So what if it's old news, I didn't see it or know about it when it happened. The fact that the Borg lied about 607 BCE is old News too but many new ones don't know it yet. It's good to know it's an old story and any updates are good but come on already DS.

  Theme of this year's series of Conventions

  it was announced this week that the theme for the 3 day convention is "do not give up".

  these are the words that are spoken to someone who is struggling and is in the process of giving up.

  this theme tells me that many in the organization are tiring out and slowing down.

  The good news with the themes of the last couple of years it must be a clue that many are leaving. I was thinking about Herd and his announcement talk a few years ago about cutting back and stopping the building work. You could tell by the look on his face something was up that he had just learned. Maybe someone actually took a accurate count of active adult jws and realized that there may not be many left.

  I hope this is true, the other actions the Borg is taken like closing halls , selling off all thier buildings in New York and London and constantly begging for money I hope are signs thier in a serious down turn.

  I was told by a higher up that Riegnheart knew the 607 was BS and tried to get Ray Franz to stay away from the details but he didn't listen and went out and spoke with some history pros at some of the local colleges and then also Couldn't find any info at the museums either. It was this and the mediator subject that got so many thrown out of bethel in the early 80s.

  Riegnheart was one of the few that got out unscathed and was even contacted to do the insight books after he left. I think he agreed to collect what ever money they would give him until he got on his feet. He was able to live cheap invest in a place and retire with money in some retirement accounts. He recently sold his place for a nice profit so is retired and doing fine. He even helped out on some of the Greek translations of the new updated Septuagint bible that was published a few years ago.

  Isn't it weird that those who left gods house were able to make a life for themselves and retire with money etc. , while those that didn't mostly died poor broke destitute and ignorant.

  Kingdom Hall Renovation Question: Who Pays?

  so last night it was announced at the local hall that the ldc had decided against building a new hall, and that the existing hall would be "renovated.

  the prospect of a new hall has been dangled before this congregation for at least 10 years now.

  in fact, the congregation had already purchased property, had approval from the rbc for a new hall.

  They the JWs are so concerned that any credits goes to Jesus you'll automatically become a trinitarian. They then completely relegate Jesus as just a tool once an angel "Michael " to be used by God as a human sacrifice. For being willing to go along with being sacrificed he Michael gets to become king for awhile and that's about it. I realize this is a over simplification but it's pretty close to the truth.

  They completely miss the piont that Jesus is elevated to god like status for what he did weather you believe in the trinity or not he still becomes a God!

  Quality of newer membership

  on a previous post mamacita29 pointed up the low quality of new jw converts.. is the quality falling even more as the society use lower than low meeting, talks, broadcasts etc.. when i was active initially the organisation and standards seemed totally different today.

  i have seen hard working intelligent elders fall by death or exhaustion.

  the younger generation that came along never really grasped responsibility hence shortage of good elders, never mind the watered down to almost nothing quality of meetings.

  It's really sad that we were all being led by an organization full of men that were or are really ingnorant. Some of the guys during Rutherfords era didn't even make through the third grade. And yes in my last hall the two or three people that came into the truff via preaching were either mental or socially inept or both. One was a woman and her young daughter. Once the woman found a man she was out of there and moved away. Another was a mess and had a real messed up history. She became homeless and had to live in a trailer at some JWs property. Again when her sister stepped up and offered her a home again she was out of there. So I guess many join the truff for help and when they are able to stand on thier own they get out.
