  russia banning the organization might not have the same effect as the earlier ban did decades ago.. more and more people have access to the internet.

  it only takes a few russian jws to start their google search for the first time to discover the truth about their religion.. questions might arise, such as "why is jehovah allowing this to happen?

  consider too, the schism that happened when the romanian jws were cut off from brooklyn.

  Apologists saying that the JWs shouldn't be banned, what the hell!??

  it's been brought to my attention that there are xjw that say they support the witnesses and don't think russia should ban them.

  i would just like to remind all of you that jws are guilty of murder, causing higher rates of suicide, covering up child molestation, and keeping members in prisoned because if they leave they loose family, financial support, possible employment etc.. sure their not strapping bombs to their chests but they easily get members to kill themselves with their blood policies.

  they are an extremist group!

  Let's be clear , Russia never had freedom of religion in thier constitution. There are some very specific rules on how to operate as a religion in that country. The JWs were banned because they did not follow the rules. Yes the government does lean to the side of the 4 main religions that have been in their land for centuries. But again the issue was never freedom of religion.

  Those that argue this, have no merit.

  has anyone done a detail research on this subject?

  the gospels seem to contradict one another and christians apologists have a bunch of different ways to try to explain away the problems.

  has anyone have a concrete explanation for or against him truly being dead three days and three nights as the story goes?.

  i just watched the live feed from the russian court room and followed the updates on the russian exjw forum.. just waiting for confirmation from other sources...but, it looks like the final (and expected) result is:.

  banned.

  which means that the wts property in russia now belongs to the russian state..

  Jehovah would have been proud at the efforts of his people with all the letters written and sent etc. . If only he had been alive to see this event unfortunately he was dead when archaeologists found him in Ugarit. Apparently he died sometime before 1929 when the city was discovered buried, covered over in dirt. Experts think he had been dead for more then three days and threes nights, they believe the more accurate timing of his death was well over 1000 years ago but thier not sure of the specific date do to the fact his statue was not made of wood but of metal which could not be accurately dated.

  Half banana, the first mention of three days and three nights had to do with the story of Innana . She told her companion to wait that long for her to return from visiting her sister god of the underworld. When she didn't because she was killed by her sister the companion went for help.

  Innana was the queen of heaven the goddess of fertility and love etc. This story was all about how there's death and no growth during the fall and winter seasons. She was resurrected and others were made to take her place in the underworld during these non productive seasons.

  I think I'm just faded now with a bad reputation of being demon possessed and doing hookers. If it became official that I was DFD my kids would probably not talk to me much and when old enough move out and not speak to me again. I hope to fix this problem before they get that old.

  I realize the real reason for the story was the rising of the Sun Half banana on The vernal equinox when the days become longer then the nights, but was trying to figure out if there was a legitimate explanation to the three days he's supposedly dead in the Bible? The first poster Snowbird, said Wednesday through Saturday but people have used the Bible to blow up that idea too. Not sure if anyone can explain with out contradicting parts of the Bible the three days and nights he was supposedly dead.

  I'm surprised they haven't sold the branch there and just left the Spanish JWs to get thier spiritual food from another branch like in Germany. This way they can wash their hands of most of thier problems there.
