my lifelong mental illnesses, fuelled significantly by the borg, are very bad at the moment and result in me missing lots of midweek meetings, but i haven't missed a sunday in years except the occasional vacation.. the nature of my mental and emotional illnesses mean that i, as a physically in and mentally out pimo, take to heart very painfully admonishment from the platform to never miss meetings, preach all i can, and so on.. okay, i report 3 hours each month on average and no elder has ever said anything, but when they make comments on the platform, i feel such great guilt and shame, but also anger, as they do not understand my illnesses and when i do mention my situation to elders, they kind of minimise and joke about it.. some other sisters in my congregation started "officially" not attending midweek meetings a few year's ago because of their own health circumstances, but i know for a fact that some elders look down on them for this reason, not showing real understanding deep down even if they do on the surface.. i have reached the point where i want to hand in a da letter as a cry for help, or more like a clear indicator to them that when i say i'm not well enough to attend midweek, i really mean it and it's not just an excuse.

sure, i'm only 42, but i can still be too fragile to go out at night with a 30 minute drive both ways..

Don't do that , that's just stupid. Stop going to all midweek meetings and then go to less and less Sundays. If they say something just blame it on your health and leave it at that. Then go out and enjoy life.

on sunday a us jet shot down a syrian military government fighter plane after it dropped bombs close to us backed kurdish soldiers.. russia who backs erdogan has reacted with a threat to target us jets over syria and withdraw from communication arrangements designed to prevent us - russian conflict in the region.. the threat of a hot war between the usa and russia is growing rapidly....

I think it would be hilarious watching the Russians trying to engage the US. The US is so far ahead of Russia it will be an embarrassment for Putin.

trying to find info on the scandal involving mexican congregations not having prayers and singing at the meetings.. i have found some info on jw facts but would like more if anyone knows of a good website to look at.. watchtower observer had some info before but that website is long gone.. any help would be much appreciated.. thanks wgo..

This just goes to show that behind their spiritual face their evil or at least their handlers are. It would seem according things written by guys like Ray Franz that the spiritual leader didn't have much of a clue when it came to money decisions. So while thier off believing and leading the congregations the puppet masters are really pulling the string for other reasons.

Another case in point the purchase of the Towers hotel in Brooklyn New York January of 1975. A building that needed lots of renovations before it could be used yet the end of the world was coming in just a few months. Could not the money have been better used to advertise advertise advertise the coming Kingdom of God!??

Dealing with Elderly Parents Who Still Believe the jw Religion is the truth

i left the religion back in 2008 right after my mother died,( the total lack of natural love/ affection was the final straw for me).. but my dad has become more and more focused on doing the wt bidding.. it just amazes me how he gushes on and on about the last days, his new bible studies, and meeting parts .

but yet he makes no effort to have any type of relationship with his grandkids, there are 5 of them , non are witnesses.

they are the children from several different sisters of mine, and myself.. so how do you deal with the witness stuff always being presented in conversations?.

Use this as a teaching point to your grandkids , get them to see how people can be controlled by other people and religion etc to not have love or affection for people not just like them.

i know about the gold apple watch, but that is only a small percentage of the billions that they have.

so who do you think is keeping all of this money.

We have to remember the corporate officers are a different set of cats then the GB. I'm willing to bet the GB don't have a clue about monitory issues. You can see that a few years ago when one minute they were talking about all the new construction work to be done then the next minute GB Sam Herd is reading a letter talking about tons of cut backs.

In the end I agree with others that the money is probably being put back in to the corporation to keep it moving and investing with out a crazy amount being pilfered by someone. At the same time one also has to believe that someone high up or an attorney has figured out away to steal some of the money away. Not hard to imagine since the place is being run by a bunch of idiots!

Dugout, except for being and elder I'm regretting I didn't do much of the same when I was at least single. I messed around and dated a lot of sisters but remained a gentleman, now I'm regretting it. We only live once so we should all have as much fun as possible!

This whole thing is a joke! Isis got its start because the Baathists and Sunnis wanted their power back in Iraq. I also believe someone from the states financially supported them to keep the Kurds at bay and go into Syria, keep war going since it's big business. Assad of Syria backs them because they were taking out all the rebel groups poping up to take him out. Russia is supporting Assad and the US doesn't seem to know who to back.

They don't want to support any rebel group not knowing what they'll turn into. Can't or won't support the Kurds beyond small arms so as to not upset the Turks. Iran and several other middle eastern states have gotten involved, it's just a crazy mess and in the end the innocent civilians are the ones getting killed!

This is what happens when you have a regime that invades a country because they want the oil and to stop the leader from selling his oil for another currency, doing all this with out a plan for after the war.

The Alliances for Constitutional Sex Offenders Laws

i was listening to the news today and heard of this organization.

it advocates for the removal of sex offenders registries or at least the reduction of its use and who has to register for it.

just one example of its work is to advocate for what the la district attorney's office is doing by working with sex offenders to get their names off the registry.

Without reading all their stuff and getting some experience with regards to their practices it would be impossible to tell. With that said I think their trying to change things so that not all child sexual activity is judged the same.

Case in point , I know of two young men age 18 that had a sexual relations with a younger teenager, in both cases I believe the females were 16. Both were charged then when all things were settled they were put on the registry as sex offenders. Both had to go through all the stipulations as if they had molested a 3 year old and treated by the authorities and people in the community as if they had indeed molested a 3 year old because know one knew the details.

Im not saying having sex with a teenager is ok but what I'm thinking these guys are trying to do is get the rules changed so that young men's lives aren't destroyed forever for sleeping with some one a year or two younger then them. Some states have even changed their rules so these types offenses are not judge and prosecuted the same.
