  Somewhere in the book of Enoch it mentions I believe 70 generations then a completion of events happens . I can't remember if it the end of all things or a judgment or what. The problem is the book put a definite timetable and the timetable I believe had expired by the 3 or 4 century AD.

  This is just another doctrine of theirs where the rank and file are just delusional. Most think that blood is never really needed and when it is and the person refuses again they think their giving a great witness. The people not of their cult only see this as just plain stupidity and just plain crazy.

  In the end the only good things that comes from this deplorable doctrine is it keep many from joining the evil cult!

  meaning no tattoos, no non-approved hairstyles, clothing to be not too tight, not too short etc etc etc?

  A watcher, if you really knew the Bible and not just JW doctrine you could be Jehovahs son and Jesus brother a member of christs body. But as a JW the most you can do is be Jehovahs friend. Well hate to break it to yah but there no mention of people not in the new covenant being in gods kingdom.

  This is way to complicated for most JWs. They the JWs of today have very little knowledge of what the GB teach. You can even see it here on this site. Ten years ago posters were discussing many subjects from the Borg and well as many bible subjects. Today bible subject are not discussed much nor or JW doctrines . Today the JWs get to meetings to hear how they need to do more give up more and be mindless sheeple. I experienced this first hand when the elders didn't know their ass for a hole in the ground and going to meetings seeing all the watchtowers on Sunday that were not marked by the vast majority of the attendees.

  Really struggling to go on

  so, so much has happened in my life over the years and continues to happen, but i won't go into the details as it would take a long time.. i don't really know why, but i returned to "the truth" 15 years ago.

  in 2012 when the tv broadcasting station launched, i started to develop doubts.

  the australian royal commission and other scandals made me angrier, and i now don't believe most of the core teachings.. the only reason i show up at 5 or 6 meetings each month is to keep in contact with my parents and a few other family members.. but it's killing me, literally.

  Reduce your meeting attendance asap. I know it maybe hard to stop altogether especially if family finds out but you should be able to go a lot less with out to much blowback.

  Seed of mind-control could be seen in the word Amen

  just like naming of days of the week and months are of astrological/pagan origin, the widely used word amen too is pagan, and has contributed to mind-control.. each time we say “amen” at the end of prayer we may think that we mean only "verily" and "truly".

  unfortunately, we overlook something very important.

  amen, amen-ra is the "most high" egyptian solar archetype [egyptian sun god, known as amun/amin/amen ra, meaning "the hidden god" and thus, the phrase "amen" would originally mean "let it remain hidden/secret."].

  i have often thought the same about this word. The Egyptians influenced the Canaanites since they ruled over this area for a long time. One can see clear evidence that the Israelites were worshiping gods from the Canaanites and Sumerians but not as much from Egypt. I believe this to be so because during the Babylonian exile the writtings that ended up in the Bible were redacted and changed to get rid of most Egyptian influences yet there can still be found some.

  we often have debates on this site about what was written in the bible and why.

  there are also debates about which bible is better .

  then there's the debate about if the quran is really the better book or more accurate.

  We often have debates on this site about what was written in the Bible and why. There are also debates about which Bible is better . Then there's the debate about if the Quran is really the better book or more accurate. But I think what people are missing is why a book or even any writings?

  Through mankinds history only a very small percentage of humans could ever read. In the first century when Jesus was supposedly alive less then 1% of the population could read. So with that being said why would a god put his ideas and his expectations in a book? If where to be free to worship not slaves of men like a part of the Bible says then again why put it down in writing.

  By putting gods words in writing does it not allow for men who can read to monipulate those that can not? So again why would god put his thoughts and wishes in a book?
