The 24 Prophetic Failures of Watchtower's Most Heralded Date, 1914
by FatFreek 2005 inthe year 1914 would be disappointing.
perhaps even more so than the great disappointment which happened some 70 years earlier at the hands of a a baptist preacher, william miller.
it placed target years of 1843 -- 1844 on the map of popularity.

Not only was it a great disappointment for Russell but one of the greatest lies the WT since told. He wrote that Armageddon was going to come in 1914. The Wt then sometime in the twenties on write that Russell and those back then expect something great to happen, they implied they had an idea Jesus was coming but didn’t realize it was him installing his kingdom and he coming invisibly. They are and still state this crap to this day. Again Russell was confident that Armageddon was coming in 1914, he had already stated when Jesus came invisibly and when his heavenly kingdom was installed.

The stuff JWs get right
by HowTheBibleWasCreated insince today there is a post about jws and science i thought it right to throw them a bone and see if they have anything right:.
1. round earth (lol).
2. old universe (13.7 billion years).
-
Crazyguy
They never agreed to the age of the earth but said to leave it to the scientists to argue about. Fact is in my youth they were still saying Russell’s teaching of an earth about 50,000 years old was right. They also still push the idea that man is only 6000 years old.
Its a good thing your thread is about what they got right because if it was about what they have wrong it would be one damn long post!

Flat Earth and Jw. Not possible?
by Earthmeasured insorry for my poor english, i hope to make not too many mistakes.
im a jw and in the last three years i have studied a lot the topic of the earth being flat.
i have a good scientific background so im not stupid or crazy.

I agree with earthmeasured, the Bible says the earth is flat in over 60 scriptures it even says it’s supported by pillars and has corners. If the Bible said it it must be true! And that’s why they call me crazy.

There over 60 scriptures that imply the earth is flat and just one where it says it like a circle. It just goes to show that you shouldn’t put your trust in a book written by a bunch of goat herders!

The pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton according to Gérard Gertoux
by Narkissos insome time ago i stumbled across a book by french author gerard gertoux, about the pronunciation of the tetragrammaton.

Earnest the Greek Septuagint is older then the Dead Sea scrolls. I’ll look into those other inscriptions.
I believe The Tetragrammaton was substituted later to cover up and replace the gods names that were originally in the writings. Old Testament writings in my opinion were old stories gather from around the Levant and didn’t all speak of the same god. That’s why in Jerimiah for example his god never thought of a sacrifice human or animal. Other writings talk about god being from Egypt and there’s even descriptions of Egypts god Ra in one of the minor prophets. There Egyptian influences all over the place in these writings as well as Greek.

At 1.4% growth the last 2 years, it's safe to say, jw.org and cart witnessing is an abject failure!
by nowwhat? inso much for jehovah blessing this new arrangement.
they are barely keeping up with the birthrate!
so basically the org spent millions of dollars on their website and broadcasting so the only growth they are still getting comes from born ins and illiterate and superstitious folks from africa.

Cart witnessing is kicking ass. In the Congo they got them set up near rivers and the people coming from a long day of fishing and running from crocodiles are lining up in droves to speak with ones and take book written in foreign languages.

November 2018 Watchtower study....attacking weak members, their personalities, and apostates
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe watchtower society always attempts to disprove or discredit valid arguments or statements by criticizing the ability of individuals to think, reason, ask tough questions and make their own decisions!
if they can't logically attack the message, they attack the messenger!!
the name calling of apostates or anyone who doesn't agree with all the wtbts flip-flops ( the light gets brighter) never stops!

I was stumbled by a prominent brother , brother Lett when he said that when he was younger at bethel most there believed the end was coming 1975. Opps didn’t they used to say and say again now that the whole 1975 thing was because some brothers out in the field got carried away and said these things? Well according to Lett the ones at Bethel thought the same even accusing him of apostasy for not believing.
Yep you can’t make this shit up!

New cart for cart witnessing.
by Crazyguy ini can’t show a pic because it was posted by a friend pimi on face book.
but the pic was of a 3 wheel bike with a cart styled front and then in the back a basket but on the sides below the seat a plaque with the website on it.
it’s really sad that the cult is using 100 year old technology to try and recruit people because modern ways of advertising either costs money or will expose them to ridicule and the members are clueless.
