Today is Our Special Day

Mouthy!!! Glad you're grandkids are FREE compared to being shackled as slaves to the WT!

We had a great day. I surprised her with flowers...

I got her a new dress for the fall to keep her somewhat warm from the cool days.....

Then I asked my wife what she wanted for our special day, strange as it sounds, it's her day, so she gets what she wants. She asked for Sliders from White Castle, she had the major cravings for them and hasn't had them for a long time..

as well as Onion Chips .

Then for dinner, she wanted Pizza. So I got her a Tombstone Pizza (Supreme)

Even though since she's a renal patient, she's not supposed to have all those heavy stuff, but the doctor said it's ok with moderation.

Then I had a coupon for a free movie from Redbox, so I asked what movie she wanted to watch, of course, a chick flick, we watched Leap Year

So we watched while holding hands and had a good time.

Then I had these coupons that I had saved for this special occassion, so I went to Mickey D's and got her a Strawberry/Banana Smoothie and myself a Frappie Mocha for free. I surprised her with the Smoothie and she loved it.

Finally we ended our day with lots of hugs and cuddles as well as kisses.

Why are you here, Bane?

i was wondering.

not that i have anyone in mind (except for bane).

what motivates an active and zealous jehovah's witness to come to a website like this one and insult everyone for being apostates, et cetera?

Bane, you don't know the whole history of JWN (or formerly JWD), it did start out as a true JW site, until the owner began to see postings from Apostates that showed the inconsistancies of the WT dogma. Flip flops of doctrinal changes, false prophecies, the association with the U.N., pedophiles being protected while disfellowshipping those that went to the local authorties to report a crime of child molestings. The list is quite long, dating back from the very beginning when CT Russell founded this so called, "religion".

So the owner, Simon, left the Organization, but kept the domain name for a very good reason, to allow others to see the truth for what the WTS truly is and many like this site, websites, blogs and so on are helping them leave the WTS because, quite simply, it became no longer festable to continue living in a lie.

In my take, Jesus is the Truth and there can be no other Truth like Him.

God warned man not to put their trust in man, "Cursed is the man that trusts in man...." Jerimiah 17:5

Jesus himself said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no man can come to Jehovah, except by Me." John 14:6

God wants you to rely on the Holy Spirit rather than man to understand His Word, "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." John 14:26

You can attend meetings if you wish, even go door to door preaching the so called "kingdom", but works in of itself will not bring you salvation...

"And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace." Romans 11:6

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

So the real question is, how do you earn this salvation? Paul and Silas said this quite simply...

"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household." Acts 16:31

That's it, that's all you have to do in order to earn salvation. Just believe, this is an act of faith.

Let me ask you this, would Jehovah mislead you if you studied the Bible alone without the Watchtower?

yeah so in genesis we read how people began building a tower which would reach up to jehovah in heaven....must have been damn tall....rather then just stop them, god changes everyones language.....one guys speakin french.....another speakin russian and so on!

can't finish the tower now can they!!

this is not very scientific......does anyone believe this is how languages got started???

Did I miss something here?probabyl!!,the tower of babel, some thousands of years ago,upset " the only true God ".So how high could it have been? the tower of babel that is ?As tall as the skyscrapers that exist on the earth during these last 100 years?? In country after country ??Gen.11:3-Surely they could not be taller than the tallest buildings that exist on earth today,and dont forget the astronoughts of various nationalities circling the globe every 90 minutesSurely they surpass the builders of the tower of babel

Have you considered that it was torn down? Take a look at post Rome, back then when Rome fell and the people fell into disparage, people scraped what they could in order to survive, that included picking apart buildings to build homes. Not only that, other armies raided various Roman occupied territories and looted what they could carry. Plus anything that once stood would have fallen apart due to age and due to the lack of upkeep to keep it together.

How about the second city of Babylon? After it fell to the Persian army, the whole city was picked apart over time. Saddam Hussien then began to rebuild it sometime in the 80s, many of it's bricks survived from time with inscriptions still embedded into it which reads in Arabic, "I am Nebuchadnezzar, the King of the World", Saddam copied that idea and had many bricks made to also include his name with the exact same sentence on the walls.

Although construction has stopped when Iraq got invaded and Saddam hanged. Biblical prophecy speaks of a 3rd city of Babylon, the city in current form is halfway done. Eventually someone else will pick up the slack and finish this project that Saddam had started.

I recalled from the series on the last and final episode of Battlestar Galatica (the new one) when Admiral Adama suggested that the people spread out in various locations of the new Earth because this way, the people stood a better chance of surviving and thriving as a human race rather than sticking together as a whole in the same location.

This makes sense since God had the same idea as Adama did, this helps narrow down alot of possibilities with starting out as a small population, for example, diseases and other disasters that could occur. If all stayed together and if it spreads, then the possibility of the human race as a whole would get wiped out.

So instead, spread them out and if one becomes sick, only a few may be infected and not spread to the rest of the people, at least not as easily.

That's my take for the reason why God confused the language because he's protecting us as a whole rather by spreading us out rather than keeping us together on the same location.

hey everyone.....been a while just wanted to introduce myself again

well, i have been a memeber for a while.

thought the site was gone.. nice to see its still up and running.. learned alot here.. to summerize..........born into the jdub......got df'd at 15.... (am 34 now)on purpose (was molested by my uncle, so wanted out, saw the bs of covering that kind of thing up at an early age),.

dad was an elder, grandad was a po, etc.. left home after being df'd..........ran away....never to return....had a hard time learning how the " world" really was.. anyways......just glad to see this board is still around........just wanted to extend myself to anyone who needs to talk about abuse or the difficulty of "getting out".
