page 18 is the pathetic craptower article, telling women (who have apparently gotten above themselves) that they must be "obedient" to their husbands.
the entire article is nauseating, and obviously written by bitter old men who have major issues with the opposite sex.
i'm not going to write the whole thing, but here's a few 'highlights':.
Back when I was an elder we had a situation where a wife who left her husband and was moving to another congregation. At that time all we did was show the couple the "current" articles on reasons for divorce and separation. According to those articles, she didn't have grounds (no hitting or willful non support just a crappy marriage to a weird guy) and she was upset about it and wrote the society.
In an interesting twist they came back with a vague letter which basically contradicted their WT articles about separation.
For whatever that is worth. (maybe there was some rogue progressive in the service dept at that time!)

after several years of a great friendship with diane (previously posted as xena) things have started to really come together recently and i've succumbed to making an honest woman of her (or at least as honest as it's possible to make her.
last night (xmas day) i popped the question and she agreed to marry me (i wonder if she knows what she's let herself in for!!!)..

ok to begin i was born catholic, recently became intune with god, and now just believe in the holy scripture.

after a lenthy illness, 10 years in total, my mother, margaret stecko, passed away peacefully today surrounded by family.
she was 84, and leaves behind 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
she was a jw but never shunned me.
