  Spiritualism - Simply Beautiful!

  recently, during my trip back to england, i decided to attend a spiritualist church with a friend of mine.

  he had originally piqued my curiosity by telling me that in one of their weekly services, they have a clairvoyant (medium) "connect" and give messages to people in the church.. i thought this would be a nice experience, and so my wife and i went.

  i will hold back on the description of what happened, as that is a whole other thread (no, things did not fly around the room), but i will say that at the end, i felt very comforted and happy because of the very specific message i received.

  Oh for God's sake people, what did she know!? Really, did she ever once go out in service or express appreciation for the FDS? We need to be careful from whom we take our spiritual advice, don't you think? Can we really just post words of UN-wisdom from people who are clearly part of false religion, whatever few things they have done for appearances sake?

  it was getting close to noon and elese decided to give her mother a call to let her know she was ready to be picked up.

  sara said she had to stop by the kingdom hall to drop off some ice for the brothers doing the remodeling.

  Corvin, it feels good and is good to stand up for the family.

  Unfortunately that group most likely will just look at you as the bad guy, BUT if you put some doubt in the mind of just one of the brothers it could start making an effect.

  hello all.. this is my first time posting on this forum, my name is nathan and i have been waching the forum for the last few days.. the reson i am here is i am looking for a bit of encouragement and to ask for your prayers to help me.. ok i first came into the truth when i was about 6 years old i got baptized and was in the truth untill i was about 18 when i disasotiated myself.. im now 29 and somthing has happend in my life in the last month that has made me stand up and take a good long look at my life now and when i was a witness.. i have made my desition to go back to the meetings and hope to be reinstated.

  i have just resently given up smoking (cold turkey) and am finding that to be hard after only one week.. tomorrow will be the first meeting i will atend on my long road to aceptance and i have to say i am very nervus about it.. anyway i wont take up anymore of your time i just wanted to ask if you could all remember me in your prayers and ask jehova to help me conquer my problems and then maybe i can have the life i used to have back

  You took the time to take a photo and put up an avatar so I think you might take the time to come back and read the posts.

  Would you go back if you knew for sure that the WTBTS has no backing from God? That the entire 607/1914/1918/1919 thing is bunk? If yes you are likely looking for structure in your life. Perhaps you feel out of control and the KH will certainly give you structure, but remember that once you are in again if you "fall" and get DF'd you will again lose all your friends and family.

  That being said, you will receive plenty of encouragement here to be a better person, lead and fulfilling life and to be a good father and husband - and even to be a good Christian. As to being a JW, most here find it hard to teach others lies about the bible.

  i was speaking to a lady today who isnt a witness.

  she's a very intellegent, well educated and well travelled girl, and she tells me how much she enjoys reading the watchtower and awake.

  i said to her that she has to be joking, and she tells me that she she likes them a lot.

  I don't but I could enjoy the Awake for the same reason as the worman you were talking to and if I read a WT it would be with the eye of finding something juicy like a contradiction.

  well i've spent a couple hours today getting my cameras ready.

  which means cleaning them like a dentist with solutions, swabs, picks, fiberglass brushes, prayer *lol*, etc..they are going to be entered into the collectors competition at the state fair of texas in october.

  i have three cameras, the max entry, all going back before the 1930's.

  first the usa thing and now giving hamm the gold and the real gold winner from sout korea gets a bronze, because they can't add.

  The only honorable thing to do is for Hamm to have a meeting and give the Gold to Yang and take the Bronze.

  This way he can be proud to wear the bronze rather than ashamed to wear the gold.
