I have enjoyed all of your comments immensely, and agreed with them all. After all the 40 years of Bible reading has done for me is that I can beat my son in the Jeopardy questions!

HELP needed for a friend, please. Anyone?..
by defender of truth ina friend of mine (who has recently started reading jwn) is having trouble eating and sleeping because, even after having recently woken up to ttatt.. they are still concerned about 'demons, everlasting destruction, and jehovahs disapproval'.. i've tried to encourage them.
i'm sure you all understand that these things can take time, the transition period is often painful, to some extent.
i'm still struggling with anger and depression myself.. i'll be away from jwn, off the internet, and thus out of contact with them for a while (don't ask why)... so please don't expect me to reply to or even look at what you post, .

I don't know that I can help much but I started listening to podcasts of those that researched the Bible and they have proven that different scriptures have been plagarized from other cultures. Especially Revelation. They (whoever wrote this part, because everything is such a big secret in this organization), have read word for word from a prophetess in Rome about the woman sitting on the crescent moon. A secret society like the org has something to hide. It seems to me like it's a money-grubbing, land-stealing org and if you don't believe that, just stop going donating to the worldwide fund, or even, asking for money at the door. This org is fabulously rich with all the property they sold, and yes, they had to pay out mega bucks for child molestation cases but that is only a drop in their bucket. And who would want to support an org that sticks up for the perpetrators, that is the elders taken to court for child rape. They sit beside him in court and the poor little victim is victimized again. It lies to the congregants to keep them in line.

my first wife--born in--divorced me over 30 years ago.
she totally shuns our son--now 38--d/f'd and now happily married and enjoying life to the max.. my pioneer partner--from the mid 60's-----he totally shuns his daughter---to the point of even ignoring her in the street.. a close friend of mine--in the 60's and 70's-----i was best man at his wedding.

Back in the 70's they used to have talks about not having children in this system because blah, blah, and blah. The teachings that they have more and more make me think of Communism and Marxism. Think about it. Don't have children, and if you do have children and they don't love "Jehovah", (who is my opinion is a ficticious god), then don't speak to them till forever if necessary. Separate the family-is this not Communistic teachings? Where is the love?

We'll be at the bottom of the pyramid, at least those that survive. The Georgia Guidestones claim to want the earths population below one billion. There sure won't be any elderly people there in that New World Order that we've preached to come for the last 100 years. And procreation won't be normal either, it will be probably just from test tubes. My gawd! Stop the New World Order!!!!

Thank you very much for that post. That should wake a few of us up. The Watchtower hasn't been telling us that we are good for nothing slaves for nothing, but rather, they are preparing us for our future. We will be the bottom layer of the pyramid and it won't be pretty. Shut-up and obey. I'm certainly going to keep this post.
