Harry Potter ``imbued with Christian morals''?

" associated press (ap) reports the vatican is giving the harry potter series two thumbs up and announced at a vatican press conference "the good vs. evil plot lines of the best-selling books are imbued with christian morals.
" the question in many jw parents minds is whether the governing body's silence on the popularity among children of harry potter indicates they agree with the vatican on its moral assessment of this children's fable?

Just my 10 pennies worth... if we were still JWs ... well Harry Potter is a big NO NO... what with witches and all sorts..... but my kids went to see it, and the second one.... and thoroughly loved it....it is the way that we look at things... and we have been so robotic in the past.... oh what will the 'brothers think?......but now we have freedom to do what we want, without worrying.... and seeing Harry Potter is REAL FREEDOM!!!!!!

Got our "reactivation call" last night
by jaded inbrother elder who used to be one of our best friends called out of the blue last night after about six years.
i answered the phone.
he identified himself and asked how i was then asked for hubby.

Fantasy Land?
by link ini recently posted a thread about my wifes congregation being told during the c.o.s talk that they must increase their contribution to society funds.
my wife then decided to explain to people about the donation arrangement for the magazines.. she has now been told by the p.o.
to cease and desist talking about the donation arrangement as it may appear that they are soliciting contributions, even though under the charity laws in the u.k. this could not be classed as an offence.. the reasons?we are too close to the time of the end so there is not the need for money.. this is far different to the actions of both the bible students and the witnesses in similar situations in the past.

This is MRS Nightwarrior .....
We are in the UK, which CO Visit was it, as my mother has just had her 'visit', so I think I would like to ask her about it....
Plus the fact, the WTS in the UK have to be careful at the moment as investigations are afoot to see how these 'religious' charities are being run, and to where the money received is going - in other words, is the money being given back to the people, and if so, in what shape and form!
This should prove very interesting.. I say 'Watch this Space'!!!

by nightwarrior inare you on the road to death / or life open your eyes.. unfortunatly many are on the broad and spaciouse road leading to death,all serving j.w are responsible for there own salvation, they can all read and speak fluently ,they all proffess to serve jehovah god, therfore there own salvation is there own responsibility, ( jesus stands behind you as a j.w ) and jesus tells you how to gain gods approval not one of you would listen to him, would you approach your elders,first and condem jesus as an apostate,or so called apostate ,because he spoke the truth to you,and started asking you questions,about the teachings of the organization , why you were pedaling or selling magazines in his name,why you stopped showing ( love ) to people of the nations,why you had wonderd away from jehovahs teachings,why you are serving the society rather than the creator,why are you following a organization that has docterd the scriptures, why they dont question the false teachings ,as proven .. why were the borg members of the united nations for ten years,( babylon the great).
why charles taz russel the founder member ,was a freemason,why he got his scriptual dates from studying egyptology ,using the pyramids to determine 1914 and the stars.. what a mess he has left people in.mass suicide is the next thing jw.

FARTING IN THE KINGDOM HALL.
by nightwarrior ini was lead to beleive that cleanlinness was next to godliness,that jehovah is a clean god, .
as we as a family sat down behind ( being the operative word ) a couple of elderly sisters ,arriving late we took the only seats available,even then we caused disruption as we even i were fighting over the seats as to where one would sit ,sure enough i allways seemed to end up in the firing line of these elderly fat arsed sisters,whom allways ended up farting in your face,the smell was so strong that you could actualy taste the stench it in the air 10 minutes later,i allways felt sick ,my children grinning .

Well I am so glad that my husband has such a disgusting mind LOL
Actually, we were sat behind one little do gooder family, when during the song, 'Loyal Love' the daughter, al of 6 yrs old, was singing all operatic LOL.... well that was bad enough to make us giggle, then worst of all during the prayer, she let out one loud stink bomb.... well that was it, we were lost... my mascara ran, the kids were literally wetting themselves laughing, and trying to be quiet all at the same time.... then to beat it all, after the prayer finished, she asked her mother if she liked her singing..... oh we laughed all day....
Worst of it, was that she liked our younger son, and all she could do was lean over the back of the chair and try and speak to him... he was disgusted!!!!!!!

yes thats what some of us were, the organization has helped them out of the gutter, think of the lowest form of mankind,the type that has fallen as low as they can fall, then imagine a knock on there door ,there feeling suicidal,about to have a nervouse breakdown they cant cope anymore this is the last day for them on earth ,they have decided to end it all ,again the knock on the door,as the door opens they are met with a smile ,and as the conversation opens up ,the astute witness realizes that they have a broken soul in there hands they start to immediatly manipulate the situation, lean on me i can help you let me direct your life from now on,ok ,is the response the victim comes willingly , there not in there right minds then they are draged along at break neck spreed ,all the way to baptismn, now the fun really starts, they are dropped just like a stone after baptismn ,left to fend or float within the congregation ,they end up in the same condition as they were found in say six months previosly some crash and burn some flounder, and some realize that the truth they were taught only existed in vapour form disolving as there eyes became focused, the realization then creeps in some realize they are caught within the expanding fishing net covering there entire lives and familys now and again those in the trawlers net try to escape but they are pulled back by the currents or prevailing winds,nowing there is no way out most just drift with the currant knowing that they are going to there deaths they sit back and enjoy the ride,most realize that there are sharks of death guarding the escape holes in the nets ,a few brave people summon super human strength and charge against the confines of the nets and break out ,some just give up and die ,some become so spiritualy hungry they just lose weight and drift through the nets thus escaping ,finding there way by accident to this board,where they then begin to feed other escapped fish,some offer a little encouragment some give a bountiffull banquet of side dishes still more offer everything they can,.
my point is the organization is full of missfits,delinquents and the dregs of society.

MY POINT IS THE ORGANIZATION IS FULL OF MISSFITS,DELINQUENTS AND THE DREGS OF SOCIETY
