Are women more beautiful than men?
by Vita Nuova inall things being being equal, is the feminine gender endowed with more trancendent beauty than the masculine?
before sending any stock replies like, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder," let me just say that i acknowledge some degree of relative beauty insofar as man and woman bear their own distinctive perfections.
but consider specifically which sex seems to bear more inherent grace to the end that it inspires our sense of harmony and desire to be more perfect ourselves.

If The Population Increases Does It Mean There Would Be Less Demon Control?
by minimus insince the demons can't multiply and produce baby demons, my theory is that if the earth's population increases, then there is less likelyhood that the demons and a singular devil will get to us.....whaddya think?

One thing that does come to mind is that, unlike in Jesus' day when 'Legion' affected one poor soul, the deemies would need to spread out more in the 'last days'. No more ganging up, I guess.
I also have it from a good source that they are very handy with cellphones. Helps alot.

"-the eastern or golden gate, which was sealed for almost a 1200 years is a key part to bible prophecy.
ezekiel recorded the prophecy about the closing of this gate.
he told how the lord brought him to the eastern gate.. .

Yes, JWs do go and research your questions. Do you know how they do it? Do you think they go home and use Strong's Concordance, or any theological reference work? No, they go home and look in the Watchtower Society's unreferenced materials, written by men who are neither trained, nor scholars, nor objective. If the JW looking for this answer cannot find it within the pages of books and magazines published by the Watchtower Society Corporation, do you think they turn to their bibles themselves and consider the text, context and history to arrive at an interpretation? No, they call someone who is a better searcher through the Watchtower's books and magazines. If they still hit a dead end, do they go to the nearest Theology Library and do a little digging? Well, most likely at that point they would give up and conveniently "forget" to return to speak with you.
Odrade, that's the best summary I've read on jw "research" techniques in quite some time.
strawpuppy, welcome to the board. Though this seems a bit of a rough start, hang in and you'll find that the people here do a lot of thorough research and can provide another side to some of the things that jws tell you. Then, make your choices as to which explanations you want to accept.

my non-JW girlfriend emailed my JW mom today
by doogie inlast week, my girlfriend wrote an email that she intended to send to my mom.
my jw parents have never spoken to jessica in the 3 years that we?ve been together (my loooooong story was on the board last week?don?t worry, i refuse to write anymore details than i have to in this post?my fingers are still cramped up?).
anyway, the email was to be their first (and last, probably) communication.

the only large audiences they will address are their own members, they rarely grant interviews and never seek opportunities to lead by preaching their message in a public or media forum.
quite the contrary; in the one instance where jaracz made an appearanace (cornered by a bbc reporter), he came across as combative, and mean-spirited hardly as a spiritual leader of six million-plus.
