Dear all,
Thank you for taking the time to respond and share your thoughts and feelings.
I know this response is very late in coming and I apologize for it. I truly appreciate all the posts.
i was a 3rd generation witness on both sides of the family.
even my great-grandomthers were considered witnesses, but i don't know if they were baptized.
my parents however were always considered weak and still are even though my mom has become more involved & for longer periods of time in the last 15 yrs.
Dear all,
Thank you for taking the time to respond and share your thoughts and feelings.

at the district convention, the highlight was always said to be the dramas.
did you really look forward to them?
was there one that ever stood out?
I admit to looking forward to them. When I was a little kid, that was the only time i wanted to be awake. As a teen, it was the only time I finally got to sleep. I was in one once, I guess that's the only one that stands out.
someone asked if i would play the theme from the "peanuts" shows.
i said i've always wanted to learn and play it, so this would be a good opportunity for me to do so.
i got the music about a week ago, and here it is!
Thank you. I have always liked the Peanuts theme.

my hubby and i are closing our business.
2002 was a terrible year.
we've been in business for 10 years and in 2002 we earned only 60% of our average.
Dear Sadie,
My heart goes out to you & your family. This indeed is heartbreaking. The situation is a challenge, but one that can be met. Many of us here have gone through the same or very similer times.
There is one thing that I just had to respond to:
One place told my hubby three weeks ago, that he would have a job. Gave him instruction videos to watch and had him come in for some non-paid training. told him yesterday they couldn't hire him, they felt he was too old for the job,(he's 50).
Did this company specifically say he wasn't hired because of his age? Did they say he was able to perform the minimal job requirements for the position he applied for? How did they know how old he is? Did they ask him in the interveiw or on the employment application? If any of these can be answered yes, then you may want to review this situation as a possible act of age discrimination. If you have any questions, contact your nearest office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
I know that doesn't help you with what you physically need at this moment, but I just wanted to pass it on. 50 is not too old to do anything!
You started a business with $50 that lasted 10 years? Thats pretty impressive! I hope you see it as an encouragement and belief in yoursefl that you will make it again. Please keep us informed! Please take care!
i read your profile and you sound very familier to me, as well as your user name.
did you ever live in texas?
my family lived next door to a family with that familier name.
Thank you very much for responding. Your profile mentioned you were at Bethel 72-76. I didn't want to totally assume Mann was a last name. There was a Mann family that shared property with my family in Terrell, TX during those years. The oldest son went to Bethel sometime during that same period that you indicated. I was curious if there was any chance you were that person. I greatly enjoyed his friendship as well as his brothers & sister. Before I became inactive, I heard the remaining children left in some form after becoming adults. If that is true, I was hoping to reunite. Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Theresa
