So none of the posts above reflect that a person would be "all alone and with out any comfort". Instead it reflects that you would have found out about the truth about the org regardless of the internet and found freedom through friends regardless for the most part.
This is very encouraging to me. It shows me that it's the person, not the time or situation that lends that person to finding TTATT. It's a persons core that does it, am I right?

at the end of the meeting an elder, by way of announcements said there is a new blood document that he said would be passed out to every baptized member of the congregation by way of their service group overseer.

Wow. Then it seems like the GB wants to let the hospital liaison committee to have access to your medical records if at all possible. Being that the DPA said nothing of the kind here in Ohio, USA, I wonder if maybe there is some kind of Hippa law against that type of language. I'm sure that the GB thinks that if the hospital liaison committee can have access to a JW's medical records that's a good thing because then the committee can further assist them in a "no blood" approach.

Good catch Slimboyfat. I wonder what it would be like back in those days if I was a person of black descent. How would that work when the attendant is counting everyone and then they see an African American in the audience and say, "ok, that's 5 black people now...".

You just somehow found out the truth about the organization either through the local library apostate books or through your own reading of older WT publications and you just connected all the dots.
So, with nobody else to express this new knowledge with presumably and you were all alone in your congregation, what do you think you would have done? After 5 years what do you think would have become of you?

You make some valid points here. I like attorney not knowing when you would die part, it fits well. As far as I can remember JW's have thought that since Jesus was supposed to be ruling since 1914 then he might now know when Armageddon is coming. I've been around for nearly 25 years and I can remember that being said to me by more than one person. But now they have it in print.
Five years from now they may change that in a simple WT article and poof that's that. The simply truth is, is that it's purely speculation to say that Jesus now knows when. And the WT is good at speculation.

i still go to the meetings because of my in wife and it came about that the elders knew of my pissed off attitude about the society getting involved in the un.
so the elders said they could help me get over that and wanted to meet with me.
now just to let you know, i have only told my wife and her mom so far about it, that's it.
Well, I don't think I have to look over my shoulder at all. I say that with 98% conviction. I've been to two meetings since meeting with them and both of the elders I met with have no clue I'm incognito. But I just love it. I can come here and get all the low-down even before the elders do. Stuff like what wifibandit posts. He's got the goods you know. I find out more about the org here than I do at the hall.
