  Ex-JWs off the Radar?

  this week i was contacted by an old friend of mine who was recently disfellowshipped.

  i encouraged her to check out jwd for support, advice and friendship.

  she had a brief look but said it wasn't really for her, she would rather just "move on and have fun!".

  I am not sure if there is a middle ground.
  
  People do change, and for me I no longer want to associate with Ex-JW's.
  
  Had I stayed in Ky, I probably never would have looked far and wide for association with Ex-JW's.

  I don't have any gay family members, nor have I known alot of gay people, the few that I have known have been from JWD or another board. So my knowledge of the gay community is probably limited.

  I don't know many gay people, I do know of one gay man and a few lesbians at work though. I think the lesbians are halfway cool, they are more direct and upfront.
  
  My overall experience with the gay community has not been positive at all, and I have learned a few things along the way.

  on saturday june 21 at 7p.m.est the rapidly growing conference call will be focused on elders who have destroyed people's lives!

  our guests will be former new york elder, charles riley who will tell his story of cover-ups in the org.

  from the local level all the way to the top.

  i got the following from my daughter - jail time -- the way it should be.

  maricopa county sherriff.

  to those of you not familiar with joe arpaio, he is the maricopacounty sheriff (arizona) and he keeps getting elected over and over again.. these are some of the reasons why:.

  Yeah probably a little steep for his crime, if he had been drunk driving I would feel different for sure. They should have just cited him, considering the nature of his crime.
