Thanks, I am definitely no quitter.
I think this will give people the opportunity and free time to work locally and concentrate on real, in life interaction.
So I will keep pluggin on.

by Junction-Guy into all the false prophets in brooklyn, this isn't the end, only the beginning.
many of us will leave here and move on to different venues.

No, I think it is a cool looking tree, I can't think of any trees that are ugly.

Across the street from my Grandma is a Catalpa tree I believe. The tree has long beans that hang from the branches. The beans are about a foot long.

I'll Bet Many Won't Know What To Do Without JWD
by minimus inafter coming here almost every day for years, it will be bewildering to have no jwd.
and the truth is, there are other places that will pop up in the years to come but i doubt very much anything will be of this magnitude in regard to assisting others out of the organization.. i think if any are so inclined, they should make their emails available so as to make further contact with our cyber friends.. well now, i'm sure a lot of lurkers are kicking themselves for not joining here.
too late!

I am going to be taking a much needed rest, plus I still have a few people here I am in contact with. Maybe start a local support group for XJW's?
I will definitely have more time now for many things that need to be done -

Regarding Simon's Announcement
by AK - Jeff inwe have known behind the scenes for a time that this was being considered, obviously.
i just want to express my personal appreciation for what simon and angharad have done here on jwd.
i found jwd just a few months after leaving the organization, and kind of believing that i was pretty alone in the world at the time.

Posters I'll miss the most...
by Jringe01 inthey say that with any trip the destination's not important but rather the journey itself.
during my journey out of the wts and thru my time on this site here are some of the people who have caught my attention in one way or another even though i never really interacted with them.
i posted this list on simon's thread announcing that jwd was winding down but then i thought about it and decided to start a topic because i want to make sure these people see that i'm thinking of them and that they meant something to me even though we never met.

There are too many to name, or even to begin with, but I will miss most everyone here, even you Jringe01.
There are a few I won't miss, but they have already shown their true colors. -

As Much as I hate to say this,I am glad for have being a J Dub
by SuperApostateGirl ini know this sounds crazy however being raised a jehovah's witness gave me the tools of respect for my fellow man.
also my parents had a huge role as well,of course.. i just find today there are soo many twisted people who are amused by the sickest of circumstances and pride themselves on belittling people.i mean i am the first to say.
i love funny sarcasm and making fun of the jehovah's witness religion because i believe in my heart its a crazy cult and way out in left field.

I regret being raised in this cult. The only good things I learned there would have been taught to me anyway, minus all of the negative.
About the only thing positive from my JW experience is that I have a good nose to sniff out schemes, and that I can never be brainwashed again.
