Some sure, perhaps many--but my churches teach just the opposite, as per the bible. They will be the first to tell you that preaching the gospel will not make you popular, and that most bible believing churches will eventually have just a few members left before the Lord returns---What you are describing is mostly attributed to Big Christendom.

Christians are leaving, just as the bible predicted. People are being deceived and are falling victim to the very lies of the Devil. The bible says that if the days weren't cut short, even the elect would be deceived.

City of Houston Demands Pastors Turn Over Gay-Bashing Sermons
by cultBgone inhas anyone else seen this, or did i just miss the posting?.

That's because Liberals care more about scoring political points than actual suffering and torture. Which is why Muslims can kill, torture, and behead homosexuals and you will hear hardly a peep from the left--but if some fundamentalist church happens to commit the atrocity of speaking out against gay marriage, they will have the full fury of the left upon them.

This weeks #2 & #3 talk on homosexuality
by granada35 inafter a one year sucessful fade and no longer associated with any congreation, i was visiting my sister this week (who goes to the meeting to please her husband for now; i am slowly planting seeds though) and they decided to year this weeks midweek meeting via the telephone.
since i was a guest in her house, i sat with them in the living room to hear the meeting.
to my surprise (especially growing up as a gay jw with still alot of anger in my heart over how i was treated), the talks 2 and 3 where on, of course, homosexualiy.

Couple of questions
by All for show inwhy would the wts want to get rid of fence sitter?
as in, why are weak ones a burden to the cong, isn't that the whole point, to shepherd the flock?.
does anyone know if the gb gets a paycheck, flies first class, how they vacation?
-

A fence sitter could cause others to question and doubt.
I don't believe the Watchtowers main purpose is making money--if so, they would want a more career oriented, educated flock.
I believe the main purpose is to spread false doctrine, and destroy any shred of faith outside of that religion. I can't think of any other religion that creates ex members who are heavily atheist and agnostic.

TV.JW.Org - WTF is Wrong With This Guy? - CAPTION THEM
by passwordprotected ini've heard about his bombastic, overly patronising, cartoon-ish delivery before, but i'd never actually seen it...until now.
and i should add, this religion bears little to no relation to the one i left 6 years ago.. .

They can re-package themselves all they want, but this is still the same lying cult I grew up with!

Sad story
by truthseekeriam intraverse city alyce morales' sobs hung in a benzie county courtroom as she told a judge that panic gripped her after she secretly gave birth to a daughter in a tent.. .
morales, 19, of cicero, illinois, said she felt sorry every day since july 22, 2013, for what happened next.
she closed her fist and struck herself before hitting her daughter, marie, with a blow that fractured the infant's skull.. "i was in a really bad situation.

What christians don't want to admit
by opusdei1972 inwhen i left the wt organization, i continued to believe in the bible, so i wanted to confirm and refine, as much as possible, my faith that the true god is in the bible.
so i began to discuss with skilled christians, who were also ex-witnesses.
but i was surprised when some of them tried to relax my fundamentalist position on the literalness of the genesis account.

Well I believe in original sin, I believe in the innerancy of the bible--definitely not the NWT though! I believe in a literal flood, and I believe in creation. That puts me more in line with my friends and family, but definitely separates me from most XJW's. If the Watchtower has a purpose for existing--it seems that ultimate purpose is to turn people away from Christianity.

Some interesting points when considering Russell's masonic activities.
by oldguy inthis will be the first time i have communicated with former witnesses in this manner, so please be patient with me as i figure out how this all works.. it would be great to find a brother in scotland who could trace the membership records of the knights templar division of the masonic lodge that russell belonged to.. if indeed he was a 32nd degree master mason in the order, then he would have been practicing secret rituals for a considerable number of years during his adult life in order to achieve the title of master mason and being referred to as "worshipful master".. small wonder he was so determined to have his father (a mason with powerful contacts) on board the original bible study group.. makes it somewhat more understandable how he was able to give lectures in carnagie hall, and attract financing donations during the early years of the society.. what more could the rich families in america that supported the early zionist movement ask for than to support zion's watchtower and it"s elitist form of heavenly class distictions.. there are claims that joseph rutherford was also a member of the same masonic lodge as his mentor charles russell.. all this begs us to ask can a rotten tree ever produce good fruit?
or can a crooked tree be made to grow straight?.
welcome your thoughts and comments.

Even above he states several times to being a Free and Accepted Mason, but then again false prophets do cloak their words in confusing ways.
