for those of you who dont already know by now, the sheriff's deputy who told us to stop picketing last thursday works for the very same department that i do.
she works patrol, and i work corrections.
i remember when she used to work in the jail a few years ago, but im not sure if she recognized me.

this is my first chance to post here since last thursday, so here it is.
amanda and i arrived at approximately 5:45 pm, and parked in the walmart parking lot.
amanda bought a folding chair and something to eat, as she just got off work.. we walked across the street to the kingdom hall and stood on the shoulder of the road.
Hey Bryan, We will be staying in Louisiana with my stepsister for 2 nights on the way to Texas, perhaps we can meet up for dinner or something. By the way, Tell Evelyn I said hi, and I hope she is feeling well.
To everyone else, thank you for your responses

To G Money- Thats what Ive been thinking about doing. Perhaps he could tell me the places I could picket and not violate the law. Ive been kinda reluctant, but on the same hand, I feel that the Sheriff is entitled to know what I know about Jehovah's Witnesses, and if a case ever comes up where JW's are involved, then he could call on me for answers on their religious views.

To Valis--This kingdom hall is not in the city limits and is in the county's jurisdiction I believe, therefore the city has no say in this. I will need to check with the county zoning board.
This particular kingdom hall is a very convenient location for me to picket, and lots of people driving by can see my signs. The 2 other KH's I picketed were in the city limits, but they were on low traveled streets. I have tried to avoid city kingdom halls as cities usually have more restrictions than counties. Cities require permits for nearly everything, and usually counties are more lenient

I remember when she used to work in the jail a few years ago, but Im not sure if she recognized me. Anyway im faced with a dilemma and there are 2 possible choices
1.Speak to the Sheriff and inform him of my picketing activities, and hopefully he can give me some legal tips on my picketing and tell me what can be done, and where. This will be a good opportunity for me to do some anti-witnessing, plus offer my help on any cases that involve Jehovah's Witnesses.
2. Quit picketing in my county, and venture into other counties and jurisdictions. I can meet with other Police Chiefs and Sheriffs in surrounding counties and see what kind of ordinances they have that would hinder me from picketing.
Quitting picketing altogether is not an option as I have enjoyed it way too much, and I plan to use my free-speech rights to show the world what a destructive, dangerous, and deceitful religion Jehovah's Witnesses are.
What should I do??
This incident last thursday has really go me to thinking, and it kinda gripes me that my free speech rights have been surpressed.

Ok you all here is the clencher--- The Officer that instructed us to leave works for the very same department that I do, I know who she is, and even though we havent worked directly together, we did work in the same division at one point. She works patrol, and I work corrections. I am not really sure she recognized me, but I knew who she was.
Almost everyone that I work with at the Jail knows of my picketing adventures and are very supportive of me, and a few officers have even volunteered to picket with me in the future, so its not like im really secretive about it. The higher-ups of the department dont know and Im not really sure if I should tell them, or just quit picketing in my county and go to a nearby county, I am going to post another thread about my employer and get everyones opinion.

in my time involved with the jws, i used to play a lot of football nearly every week with the bros. i used to find it amazing and laughable how some, including elders, would start name calling and getting aggresive, sometimes to the point of making threats.
it made me realise that football and other sports can show the true character of individuals.
has anyone here experienced things like this when playing sports with jws?
I remember several years ago they had a football game on sunday after the meeting. I was there, along with my brother and dad. One of the other guys there ended up trying to start a fight with my brother and even used the "F" word. I dont remember if they played touch or tackle, but im thinking it was touch. They were ever bit as competitive as the so called "worldly" high school teams that they preached against playing for. I never was that good in sports and I always viewed playing sports with other JW's as highly hypocritical considering their harsh stance against school sports.

That roll of film still has about 15 pictures left on it, and im gonna try to take them within the next couple of weeks, then I will give the disc to Honesty (Bob) and let him put them online for everyone to see.
Im just wondering if we were the only ones in the whole world who picketed a kingdom hall last thursday?

To Melba toast, I hope you havent been waiting on a response from me, as I dont have regular access at this site due to an incompatible browser. By the way Inez is about 20 miles east of paintsville, and one of the congregations that I left flyers at last october on the door of the kingdom hall.
to Z-man, sorry but thats in a different part of the state. I did know of an Elmer Johnson from an Eastern Kentucky congregation. I forget his wifes name, but one of his daughters was named Nora
