I don't have time to research this, as I am leaving for Nashville shortly, but I do believe that various other bible translations render it differently. and if by chance they do not, then I believe he meant it in the context of Free-Will, So that's about all I can say today. Maybe others will give you their perspective.

Where would you relocate in Texas and why?
by White Dove ini love the heat, humidity, palm trees, and the ocean.
at the same time, i don't want to get flooded out by a hurricane.. do you think there are places far enough above sea level that don't get flooded in houston?.
would you recommend dallas as a good place to relocate?.

I lived in San Antonio back in 1979 and 1980, I was under the impression that they had a dry heat and no humidity, that is what my mom always said about it.
Dallas seemed a little more humid than San Antonio, but Texarkana had steam room humidity.
Amarillo had very low humidity. -

Are there any religions that worship God but do not believe in an Afterlife
by jwfacts init seems that people only worship god for the reward of a resurrection.
people normally do not admit that, and say that even if there was no resurrection they would worship god for the life that he has given them.
a good indication of whether this could be true is if religions existed that worshipped god but do not believe in a soul or resurrection or everlasting life.

If this life was all there is, then why would you waste your time on a religion that gives no hope for the future?

Have fun, and watch out for the rattlesnakes in the desert. I would love to see Carlsbad Caverns, in fact I would give anything to go out west again and see some desert.
This weekend, depending on price and availablity of gas, I am supposed to go to Nashville to see "Asleep At The Wheel" at the Wildhorse saloon. I also plan on walking around Opry Mills and the Opryland Hotel again. I will visit both Ernest Tubb record shops, plus the Dukes of Hazzard Museum, along with several other things. I just hope the gas situation improves.
In Knoxville prices are at $4.49 and along I-40 in Crossville and Cookeville gas stayed at $3.99. The Weigels on Washington Pike was completely out of gas today. -

Going to Church
by excito-are ini went to church in my local town while the witnesses attended the perth assembly.
it was a good sermon and i actually felt very upbuilt and refreshed after listening to it.
i really thought i would of felt guilt or some negative feeling for doing this, but quite the opposite.

Gas prices up again
by Junction-Guy ini don't believe this crap.
yesterday gas was $3.69 and now today in tennessee it is $5 a gallon in several stations.
it is supposedly $6 a gallon in pigeon forge.. .

Maybe your gas comes from Alaska, where ours here comes from Texas. I heard that the gas in Ohio and Ky comes from up north, yet Ohio is still jacking up prices too, while Ky is holding theirs down, many thanks to the governor, even though he is a different political party than mine. I give credit to where it is due.

The reason why Pilot still has plenty of gas, is that they were the first to start jacking up the prices, while a few other stations were still selling at $4.49, thus the run on gas and the longer lines, because people were looking for the cheaper gas and bypasing Pilot stations.
There are a few stations up the road 10 miles, and they sell it for $4.49, the other stations should do the same. There is no excuse for this, none.
The Oil Companies, the big business republicans, even the dems can say all they want, it is nothing but pure greed, and they are gouging us deep.
