Whose truth? Your truth? Why must you always be on the search for Truth? Can't you just accept that some things just exist, even without religion involved.
I am sure there are plenty of Atheists in the military, in fact some of the higher ups in the military. I just don't see how a person such as yourself can have such a hatred for a group of people that didn't even cause you the current problems you have in life.
It wasnt the Baptists that screwed you, it was the Watchtower.

Sorry Jaguar, but if you are looking for the truth in any organized group you won't find it.

Were all the GB raised as JW's
by jwfacts ini do not believe the gb members are purposefully deceiptful, but rather that they too are believers due to a lifetime of indoctrination.
does anyone know if all of them were born jehovah's witnesses, or if some came in later in life?.

Is it possible for a child to be exposed to JWism and not be damaged by it?
by Mickey mouse inwhat do you think?
were you raised as a jw and feel you suffered no ill effects?
or do you feel it had a negative impact on your life?.

Even if there was some positive, legitimate benefit to being a JW, I wouldnt admit it on this board, because the negatives outweigh the positives in that Cult, and I don't want to give any sense of credibility to those who may be lurking here and contemplating joining the JW's.

If you won the lottery whilst being a JW.....
by mtsgrad inwhat impact would that have on your life?
an elder told me he would be very repentant and then spend every penny/cent?.
what would you do if you won $9,000,000?.

Well, if I won 9 million today, I would quit my job and immediately move back to Kentucky, but that ain't gonna happen, so I guess I am stuck here for a little while longer.

I would have taken that money, got as far away from the JW's I could, and then started enjoying life and doing the things that I wanted to do, without the pressure of making enough money.

If the word Oriental is so offensive, then how are you to distinguish between those living in the orient (china, japan, korea) and those living in Iraq? Is there a term for people who come from the orient?
Arabs are Asian, some of the baltic states are considered in Asia, heck even Russia is in Asia. The term " Asian" is just too non-specific. -

I now get what you are saying. I too am proud that I no longer fear Armageddon, I too am proud that I was able to form normal relationships with people, but all of these were in spite of the JW influence that never should have been there in the first place.
Oh and just to be fair I have seen numerous people on here blame George Bush for everything wrong in their lives--all the while forgetting it was the Watchtower Society that hindered them from getting a decent education in the first place.
