  The Resurrection.

  Because after they lose everything, there is still that chance of being resurrected. Regardless of what happens now, everything will be fine in the end. Win/Win situation.

  The Resurrection is their last hope, their cure all.

  Quotes, You must have really pissed them off. LOL Good for you! Can you move your website to the U.S.A.? If your website was registered in the U.S. it may not be as easy for the WT to try to silence your freedoms of speech and press. Also, the WT is praised for winning legal cases fighting for civil rights and freedoms of expression, but then turns around and trys to silence your freedoms. The WT is a giant self serving Pharisee. Try are trying to ruin you for exposing them. Don't let them scare you. Look into moving your operation to the U.S.

  Elders: Do as I tell you, whether I'm right or wrong

  in the last congregation that i frequented, on two separate occasions, and two different elders, i was told to do what they said, whether they were right or wrong!

  this brought some ridicule in answer, from my lips.

  the elders said to do otherwise is to go against jehovah.

  It is not WHAT elders tell you to do, it is because THEY said it. Same apllies with the the WT in Brooklyn. It's not WHAT they say, rather, it's because the SOCIETY says it.

  They never thought they woud die

  i was over visiting my mom this week and i was suprised at some of her comments.

  she would usually say things like "this system can't last much longer" and point to world events she was certain marked the beginning of the end.

  she and my father became jw's in the 50's, were convinced armageddon was near, lived through the hoopla of the 75 fiasco.

  All JWs better get used to feeling that way. They are all going to die in this world like everyone else. The WT will go on preaching that the end is near and conditioning people that they may never die at all. The WT relies on this gimic and will go on using it no matter how obvious it is that death is unavoidable because if the WT publicly recanted their "end is near" doctrine, the sense of "urgency" would be lost and many people would bail out of the religion.

  The reason many JWs hang on to their beliefs even after most of the family and friends die off is because they still cling to the WT resurrection doctrine. That is their last hope. The cure all belief.

  The chairman and p.o. were too arrogant to make your UNdisfellowshipping announcement. So they had some patsy do it.

  Who was on your appeal committee? It is supposed to be a different set of elders (more experienced elders) chosen by the c.o.

  well, it's been almost a year since i have been out of the borg "mentally".

  and almost 6 months since officially da'ing myself and stepping away from friendships that i had worked at for a decade.

  actually, they stepped away from me, but whatever.. it's been a heady year for me.

  The WT tampers with the "Questions from Readers" because all of the questions are written with proper grammer and in perfect JW lingo, just like the questions in the WT study articles.

  When most people send questions to the WT their questions are more complicated and not worded that way.
