Despite my joy at hearing this, I can’t see this standing on appeal. It would bankrupt wt if it did.

This would indicate to me that already cracks are beginning to appear with the internet model. With out physical buildings and face to face contact they will certainly lose the control that they can exude. This is something they have consider if the end game is to sell up and run with the money. I think going in line will be the end of them, or at least in the form that we know them.

Ban on Independent Meetings
by lssjr insource - march 2021 announcements - - https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/5085868283920384/2021-march-147-english-german-announcements-reminders.
this is a sobering reminder of what happened some 40 years ago when raymond franz and others were literally kicked out from the jehovah's witnesses for having pre-arranged private spiritual discussions.lesson: paragraph 7 is another example of the i and t in dr. steven hassan's bite model of the 21st century cult - information and thought control at its best!!!!
"my gosh, there must be a lot of independent meetings these days.

Cracks are already beginning to appear. This is something wt has to give serious thought to (Control) if their prime objective is the sell the halls snd run with the money.

A Gem I over heard at my fathers mid week meeting
by joe134cd ini overheard this, while my father was listening to the mid week zoom meeting.
apparently all the reshuffling with the bethelites having to do their own food prep and washing was because it would free up space for better utilisation, and bethelites who were needed for these jobs could now be out in the field ministry.
omg😳 i also chocked when i heard that.

It wasn’t so much the information that made me choke. It was more the spin on it and then for my father to turn around and put new light on it just blew me away.

P.S To make the matters even worse my father then went on to compare the reshuffle in Bethel to the light getting brighter. Man I just can’t handle this nonsense. -

I was thinking about this post last night. The cost and responsibility of freedom, and how I relate to it. I have a relative that thought he could live with out rules when he left the JWs. To be fair I think he had issues even while he was JW, but certainly lived every bit of freedom. He is now addicted to drugs, homeless living in a car with a popped ignition, and all of his kids taken off him. He is in a very sorry state of affairs. Is he specifically to blame, was it the religion, or was it a combination of the two. Idk, but it’s sobering to think on.

Truth_b_known - I thought that was a very beautiful piece of writing.
Always remember that freedom comes at a cost. Some who leave the JWs fail to heed this warning and very soon find themselves in some very unfavourable circumstances. Maybe through their own fault, perhaps a result of a jw up bringing,or maybe a combination of the two. I’m still undecided. One thing I can certainly tell you is that if you are leaving because of not been able to go out and party. This could very well come back and bite you. Hence I always ask the question do the reasons for leaving ,and the age at which a person leaves, effect the outcome.

Looking Back Were There Any “Apostates” In Your Congregation?
by minimus ini remember knowing some jws that expressed their own personal viewpoints regarding what a scripture meant that was at odds with society teachings.
in the 60 and 70’s, that was pretty much tolerated until the great purge in 1979 and 1980. as a matter of fact, it wasn’t unusual for witnesses to get together and discuss personal questions and viewpoints they might have.
it wasn’t unusual to send letters to the society asking what was considered the right or wrong view.

I think most who drift away do so because they don’t accept the final word of the organization.
I disagree! I believe most leave because they see the JW code of conduct as been restrictive. Those who leave to indulge in the pleasures of the world ,as apposed to 607BCE been wrong, would be vastly different. I would also suggest that those who leave for the reason of 607 been wrong, would be older in age and would generally, do better in the outside world.

First 3 Presidents never knew JC began his reign as King in 1914 ?
by smiddy3 inthe first 3 presidents of the i.b.s.a ./ jehovah`s witnesses / wtb&ts.. w.h.conley ,c.t.russell ,j.f.rutherford .. how many jehovah`s witnesses know that ?
how many ex jehovah`s witnesses knew that ?
the wt society teaches that jesus returned to begin his "invisible presence" in 1914 directing his attention toward the earth as ruling king.

I would say not many. I had an ultra dub pioneer relative tell me that the overlapping generation was old light when I started questioning him about it.

Profiles on tinder
by joe134cd ini decided to set up a tinder account a while back.
the other day, while looking through profiles, something really stood out to me.
particularly, with the female tinderites, i was impressed by the level of honesty, open communication, no interstest in one night stands, and moon light beach walks.

I decided to set up a tinder account a while back. The other day, while looking through profiles, something really stood out to me. Particularly, with the female Tinderites, i was impressed by the level of honesty, open communication, no interstest in one night stands, and moon light beach walks. Here is my question? If the above is true, then why in my country do we have an abysmally high STI infection, with a 50% divorce rate to match.
Here is another thing I noticed. I was struck by just how much people were into good living standards. Most profiles stated that they worked out at the gym, got their 5 a day, and were staunch vegans. If this is true, then why do I live in one of the fattest nations in the world. Where are all these people excising in the morning because I certainly dont see them.
Here are a few conclusions i reached and i am wanting feed back.
People on tinder are in fact a different subset to the general population. If this was true you would think numbers would be skyrockting with people wanting to join.
People on tinder are deluded as to their true identitiy. This would create a two fold problem with meeting in person. Because not only have you been deluded enough to hide an unattractive trait, but you have also shown you were deluded enough to turn up in person a reveal it. If the object was to get laid, this certainly wouldnt help the cause.
People on tinder a lyers. I hate to say this, but for me this is the most likely answer. It is also the most hardest to understand, the mentality behind it. I mean the ultimate goal would be to at least meet a prospective profile in person. I see tinder as a vehicle that i drive to get to a destination. If i get to that destination and find that it isnt what it is described in the book then its game over. So why try to cover it up in the first place. Hey if your a pack a day man, with a beer belly and discoloured teeth, then I say stand tall. Id have more respect for you if you did.
