I realy do hate to say this, and I know it's hard to do. But it is so important that you keep your mouth closed. Especially if you have got financial ties or are dependent on other witness. I know I am in this situation at the moment. I'm trying to fade. But know that getting DFed could be financially crippling. I smile and keep my mouth shut.

Apostate: From 279 Facebook friends to 81 overnight... thanks MOM!
by sosoconfused inthe drama continues, i log on to facebook this morning and notice that i have about 20 some odd personal messages from people calling me an apostate to they will return to me when i return to jehovah.. all of this based upon my brother informing others that i have "apostate thoughts".
my mother also encourage long-time famil friends to "unfriend" me because i have taken my stand on the side of satan... wow.
don't you just love this international brotherhood.

WT Elders school: Avoid black and white thinking - now look at this zebra
by sir82 incontinuing on with my haphazard review of the recent one-day elders school..... in one of the introductory talks, the co was making the point that we can't view things merely from a black and white perspective.
many issues have "shades of gray" and we need to use discernment in such situations.. and i'm thinking "finally!
maybe he will continue on to make an actual, reasonable point!".

i cant believe how blissfully un-aware the local dubbies are about where the money has gone and what it is been used for.

I have seen no evidence of big spend ups, and if anything they are cutting back. I dont think they would be stupid enough to put it into hedge funds as they already got bitten by ex-jws who found out about it, and it just aint a good look for gods organization. Im guessing its been invested into something, but just what is my question? It would be silly to leave that amount of money in the bank. If they were to put it into shears/stocks would they have to make a public record of it. If the tax department found out about their business interests how would this effect their tax free status. Just curious really. Your thought plz.-

he lives solely for that.. or people who love routine and busy-ness, people who need to be led.. george orwell wrote that the party is best able to impose its worldview on those least likely to understand what it is that's being asked of them: orthodoxy is unconsciousness.. i believe a lot of jws swallow the party line and it passes through them unharmed, like a seed pooped out by a bird.

Yeah you pretty much summed up me with the comment about swollowing the party line. Grin and bear the 2 meetings a week, and loath pissing people off at the doors. Yup Im a chicken as well. Im a perfect score there. In fact I wonder why I put up with it when I am so miserable.
+ves = I used to like going to the assemblies and meeting all the opposite sex. But I gave up on that now.

What a total load of Bull shit. Been portrayed as nasty vindictive people who want to make disiciples of there own. For one thing if JW is your thing and you are happy then you go for it. If I was a full on apostate I wouldnt even waste my time trying to picket an assembly, as I know I am far more effective on the internet. I also realize that openly expressing my views is going to lead to a JC and to be honest I just couldnt be bothered with it. Wanting to draw others away and make a new cult sorry dont have the time or the energy to do it either.

the following information was returned.
note that his residences have all been at watchtower owned addresses.. considering his age, and dependence upon the watchtower for most of his life, ciro probably won't be considering any change in his relgion!.

Out and Gay but fed up of 'fading' - advice please.
by frogonmytoe insomeone once quoted gandhi to me, but i don't actually think it was gandhi, saying that man can only be happy when what he says, what he believes and what he does are all in harmony.. how many of us led lives that meant all three of those were at loggerheads whilst jws?.
i came out as gay when still a witness, to my family first and then my friends.
they were all accepting of me, to varying degrees, but accepting.. i even asked the elders for help.

(1)say nothing and hope the problem goes away, and that no one bothers to research e.g cut backs and sell offs.
(2)not our fault and blame the other person(e.g1975), the spirit of the world, imperfection, satan etc.
