To be honest, although I haven’t heard it, I quite enjoy listening to judicial committees. It gives so much insight into the different mind sets of both the elders and the one been disfellowshiped. It interesting to see the different replies that are given when really there is no argument.

Very good and recent recording of a judicial committee

New Zealand Begins Selling Kingdom Halls
by KiwiBoy inthe wainui-o-mata hall is closing and from 01 february they will be relocated to the 200 seater hall in newlands.
johnsonville is merging with the wellington west congregation and will be known at wellington central also to be located in the newlands hall.
wellington east will remain in the hall in kilbirnie at this stage but rumour has it that this hall will also be sold and they will make up the third congregation sharing the newlands hall.

I knew it was coming as it had been advertised on TV. I just thought to myself, I hope that my father doesnt get wind of it. If he sees this no good will come of it, so i never mentioned a word to him. Unfortunately I also had a JW relative staying, who has a habit of sticking his beak where it isnt wanted. I was hoping that he was also unaware of it airing as well. So last night as usual we said good night, and we both had a smile on our face.
With this experience I couldnt help but think of the games I play. On the one hand nothing would bring me more satisfaction to see WT go down in a blaze of legal fire. But on the other hand i find myself having to hide the truth from him. For his sake i hope Wt holds on long enough to out last him. I also hope that they dont start asset stripping and selling off KH. His social circle is there and it occupies his time. He also has little idea of how to work a computer and always has difficulty logging into the meetings. In some ways carry on with zoom meetings is really unfair to him and to others in a similar situation.
The response i am probably going get here will be "would he be so inclined to return the courtesy if I was the one disfellowshiped". In all likleness the answer would probably be "no he wouldn't". I'm not here trying to play down the impact of CSA or the impact of it to those victims. it just trying to balance everything at the point of equilibrium.

Vienne- I guess compared to America, yes it is a small country.
Unreasonably high taxes, probably no more than any where else, and comparable to America. We have state supplied medical care, accident compensation, and pensions for all citizens. We are also held up as an example, internationally, for the quick response and the way in which the pandemic was handled. Another reason for the top five spaces in the worlds best cities.
Pluses for America. Cheap fuel, food, consumables due to economies of scale, but that been said I’d much rather pay twice the cost in gas to know I’m going to get free medical care if I need it.

Vienna- I’m in a country where the only incidence of corona virus is from people entering the country who have been placed in quarantine. At the onset the whole country was shut down, and those that chose not to comply were publicly named and shamed. To be fair I think the country got off reasonably lightly with regards to deaths and impact to the economy.
The incidence of gun related murders are very low, purely because the laws to obtain a gun are just so strict. Even in the worst areas of the city, I would still feel it ok to walk around there no problems. The biggest city in this country is always listed in the top 10 cities in the world in which people chose to live. So I guess go figure.

What good does it do me to know I have coronavirus? It is just a cold--my system treats it as a stupid cold, just like the other 4 coronaviruses that just cause colds.
Im guessing you are American. If you are i think this comment is very revealing of the American mindset, and perhaps the root cause of the problems this country is facing.
I heard a joke the other day that kind of sums this up. (Q) How many Americans dose it take to change a light bulb. (A) None because they think the world revolves around them.
I think the mindset of 1st amendment. I’m loud I’m proud and to Hell with anyone else, has led to root cause of ,not only the spread of ,corona virus but also the issues they are having guns. I recently went on a tour with some Americans and to be honest I was ashamed I had the same skin colour and spoke the same language as them. Telling comment indeed and it might very well be the undoing of this country.

I noticed that a lot if not all JWs I watch on FB now have private Freinds and photos
by mickbobcat insome have done it for a while but in the last couple of years most all of the jws from my old congregation and others i know have privatized the fb and other social pages.
i wonder if its just happenstance or if its come down from on high to shut this off to further keep them isolated from the apostates?.

I belonged to a closed jw face book group when I was PIMI. To be honest I found it pretty lethargic and a waste of time. Other than how wonderful it is to be in Jehovah’s organisation, it didn’t really seem to go past that. Btw the moderators certainly kept their finger on the pulse and anything negative got you blocked.
