I use to think my relationship with her was effortless... then I realized I was just treading on the ice. I realized her love for my brother and sister was "unconditional" but with me it is very conditional.

Competitive Parents
by Netty ini just signed my son up for soccer, he is only 6 and has never played before.
last week at soccer camp, i overheard one of the mothers saying, she had a conversation with the coach.
he said there were alot of really great players this time around, but also alot of really bad ones.

Both my kids were in sports...some of the parents needed to STAY HOME. We had one Mom who tried to be a stroke judge (no rude sexual innuendos people) she had NO IDEA what strokes were correct or incorrect in swimming. She didn't "like" how my son undulated during the butterfly stroke...we had to pull the book out and POINT OUT TO HER that as long as his arms and legs were in sync he could undulate all he wanted (this is before he was strong enough in upper body to pull fully common in young kids)
I doubted whether she could SWIM at all. I swam all my life and was a lifeguard Red Cross cerified when the kids were young (this is after having two babies)
During soccer the parents were sooooo rude and yelled and screamed it was horrible but I just tried to cheer real loud and drown them out LOL

Cyber,JwBot and Cerise: Thank you I am so glad when I can express something SO close to home with me but have it mirror others lives. I just wish it could all me happy stuff
I posted a poem about my estrangment from my middle sis not long ago, it was titled Betrayl of Snow. My older sis and I have always gotten along (None of my family were dubs just DYSFUNCTIONAL) BUT I am expected to do things perfectly or she pulls away from me. I have never lived with her, cussed at her or fought with her as my other two siblings have BUT she has invited me to Thanksgiving then uninvited me (TORE MY HEART OUT) no reason given...she never warned my my other siblings were heavy into Coke and her not warning me almost got me raped and killed. She has enabled the two siblings to abuse me verbally and emotionally and never tried to stop them BUT she expects me to forgive and forget and on and on...
I am expected to act perfect or face her cold rejection.....and I'm about to the point of saying it isn't worth it. She is an enabler was with three abusive marriages and will always be.

A Happy Ending

on the second day, she had the movers come and collect her things.
on the third day, she sat down for the last time at their beautiful dining room table by candlelight, put on some soft background music, and feasted on a pound of shrimp, a jar of caviar, and a bottle of chardonnay.

Each word guarded, stilted, skirting issues.
As if we were walking on ice, thin
Hazardous after a thaw
Each word a step, careful, tentative.
I knew if I stooped down
Blowing my hot breath against the frost.
The problems could be seen swirling,
Moving in the eddies of dark water.
One unguarded step would cause the surface to crack,
Sending us tumbling into the chill
Instead I walk, testing my footing? numb from the cold.

i guess i'm mainly asking the ladies...it seems like it is always so easy for men to drop weight.

Funky I do like the cabbage soup..not for a diet though......
I do hand clenches about 500 with arm weights on and have noticed a BIG weight loss in my arms and definition...My son had to do those in bootcamp and boy do they work
