I know many, many things some of them not pretty. But the one thing that shocked me to my core was the pedophile issue. I trusted them with my babies and they betrayed me and those they were supposed to watch!

CountryGrl:My favorite animal (besides my hubby)Is the black panther but alas, there against city ordinance LOL
We have had a plethora of animals for years. We recently lost one of our favorites to an unknown ailment our tortoise Brisby, he and our Iguana Puglsley were the best of buddies and the damn Iguana mourned for months thought we were gonna lose him too.
Besides Pugsley we have three Maine Coon cats: Jaguar, Wolverine and Whisper Jag is around 27 pounds.
We have three dogs an 11 year old Keeshound Enterprise, A Cairn Terrier named Moxie on good days and Bezlbub and satan incarnate on bad days LOL She is a brindle like Toto in the Wizard of Oz (should have been named Kill Toto LOL<jus jokin folks>and the puppy is 17months a Golden Retriever aka HORSE Czar Niccoli who we call Nic and my hubby calls short bus LOLOh
thunderrider has a snake CC (candy Corn) that I don't claim <YUCCCKKKKKKK>it is a albino corn snake yellow and orange hence the name.
PS love birds use to raise cockatiels, had a Quaker LOVED it and now thinking of love birds or another Quaker

The irony of it all
by sleepy in.
over the past few months i've found it hard not to feel anger and bitterness at wasting my youth on the watchtower , all the things i didn't do that i wanted to and will never be able to, at least not in the same way.. learning my father is dying of cancer has not helped, i feel his life was wasted in the truth, he was only tring to do what he thought was right.i think of my parents as a young couple just married in 1972, and reciveing a call from two young witnesses of a similar age.they must have believed they had found something special that they could give to their children.. sometimes i wish these things had not happened.. and yet would my life had been better if they hadn't?.
would my parents still have been together after 30 years, what would my childhood have been like if my dad had not learned to control his temper?being a natural rebelious idividual how would i have turned out, knowing how most of my friends from school turned out?would i have developed the qualities that i now value without by upbringing?not worring about being different anymore?would the paths i could have gone down been any better?i would certainly have not met my wife, and the experiences i have enjoyed as a result,my desire to now push myself and accomplish something great in my life may not have developed so strongly, the desire that may possible move me to success.. the irony is that being brough up a witness has shaped my personallity, determined the people i have met and those i have avoided, maybe my life would not have been so could if those witnesses had never called on my parents.

It is ironic my hubby swears that if nothing else he is the man he is because of them, I say he is the man he is despite them LOL I really vacillate in my feelings about this I do think I could have been a lot happier with some love and consideration shown but I at least always tried to be for my kids.
I have two great kids was it because of their early formative teaching, I guess it's like the tootsie pop commercial and Mr. Owl "The world will never know".
I try not to wallow in what if's and if only's but it's very hard for me.

Do you get mad when you post on this site and...

This site has been great for support but I agree sometimes it says it all and there is no need to reply. I will say on the previous SL before it became Lambs Roar I posted my story and a couple of poems and there was no reply for the LONGEST time and me the ever insecure one was freakin but I came here and feel so much in the loop.

Oh no!Who will study with me?!
by bittersweet ini'm a little frightened after reading one of the study articles in the feb.1st watchtower.. what well meaning individuals will be fighting to study with me when they read the second study article?who will help such a weak one as me build up faith and appreciation?oh yeah, and can they count their time?after all,i am baptised.. maybe i will start knocking on jw's doors and say,"hi,i realise that you are an active member of the jw organisation, but i am here to welcome you into the inactive flock.i am willing to study with you,so you can appreciate how you have been mislead for so many years.
" do you think there will be any takers?.
seriously though,i will have to start screening my calls and not answering my door(better yet,i will just let my dogs out).after 4 years of people not caring, now that they are told to,they will come in droves!

More Inaccurate WT info
by Yerusalyim ini realize this won't shake or suprise many, but it's again an example of dishonest writing by the wtbts.
in the sep 15, 2002 wt, the very first article is "the modern appeal of 'saints" on page 3 as a footnote, the wt says;.
"*canonization officially recognizes a deceased roman catholic as worthy of universal and obligatory veneration.".

Isn't it kinda to each his own??? Some have patron Saints some don't..right
