How Did Your Adolescence Go?
by Englishman ini was chatting to an old aquaintance about some of the weid and wonderful conflicts that i had gone through when i left the jw's.
she works as a therapist of some renown locally, so i was interested in her viewpoint.
she said that, in her opinion, anyone who's adolescent development was overly restricted by, for example, their religion, would have to clear away the mental stuff that had been held back during this critical time.

My adolescence was spent in my little fair tale world where my Dad was really not a jerk and Mom didn't pop Valium just vitaminsI made my life what I wanted it too be which didn't mesh much with the reality of the situation. I wasn't raised a dub but when I met thunderrider and his buttI was curious about the religion.
Also thanks TR that was sweet I was so shocked you put it on a threadBut I love you too and appreciate that you have never been from this planet and your love for me and our kids He is not like any man I have ever known...

Oh so many stories so little time...
Well in HS I had long hair that went down past my butt, I was known as "ya know the girl with the really shiny long brown hair". Anyways I was on my first date with someone I forget who, we were at the movie theatre that was called Truman corners as you walked into the theatre to pay there was a large staircase to the left the bathrooms projector rooms etc were upstairs.
I had gone upstairs to go potty and saw two girls being catty winches and I was determined to ignore them. I did my business then had to walk past them to get to the stairs, this was 1980 and I had on a pair of candies wooden high heels and jeans (thank god I had on jeans) well I tossed my mane of hair back as I passed the girls and proceeded to walk down the stairs, well I intended to walk down the stairs but when I am upset I walk very HARD so my right foot hit the heel BROKE!!!! and I tumbled ass over elbows down the HUGE staircase. My purse spilled everything was strewn down the stairs including my tampons I landed in a heap at the bottom! Security ran over to me I had my head down I looked up saw his gun and told him "shoot me PULEEESE just shoot me". I was so mortified.
Needless to say he wouldn't put me out of my misery, the boy came and grabbed me by my arm and I thumped my way to the movie one High heel on and one off!!!!

I think you handled their intrusiveness much better than I would have. I would have told them to taking flying leap orsomthin like that. Cheers for handling the "interrogation" with grace and dignity.
PS loved the what no good bye line

AWAKE Says We Shouldn't Judge Apostates!
by minimus inthe february 8, 2003 awake has an article entitled:"is there an unforgivable sin".notice the good news for apostates or those who once associated.
"some people who were once faithful christians have purposely drawn away from god, perhaps because of bitterness, pride, or greed, and are now apostate fighters against god's spirit.
they willfully oppose what the spirit is clearly accomplishing.

by SheilaM inafter leaving chat last night, i was in bed snuggled next to thunderrider thinking.
one of the group had been doing blurbs of kingdom songs, i don't remember any songs, or any scriptures or hardly any names of the books, i don't remember quotes from the stage or comments made by others.
