Without giving too much away, I have been looking after a wheelchair bound, disabled sick mum for over 10 years WHILE working full time. Anyone who has been a long term carer would understand just how difficult it can be at times. My elder brother lives 5 minutes away but manages a 5-10 minute visit once a month, if that. No other help from him or his ex-pioneer wife who coincidently hasn't been able to pioneer or work since the day they married. I have been forced to seek assistance through another religious organisation which is also partly funded by our governmet to help care for my beautiful mum. The only help mums cong offered is to take her to the meeting on Sunday's. Cause that's a lot more important to them than her ailing health & the regular doctors & specialists appointments she needs - with the occasional hospital stay. We were taught that if we pray to their god (I refuse to use THAT name) he will provide the help needed- how ironic that the help would come from his greatest enemies, an apostate faded jw, false religion & worldly governments.

Jehovahs Witnesses condemn Christian Religions .In reality Christian religions are Caring for Aged JW`s.
by smiddy inwho are looking after the aged and infirm jehovah`s witnesses ,?
its certainly not the organization known as the wtb&ts ./jehovahs witnesses religion .. and why is that ?
satans system of things with jehovahs blessing , has programs to look after those who have such needs , such as the dole for unemployed ,medical assistance for those who cant afford it ,and their are many charitable institutions that look after those that fall in the cracks.

Australian Jehovah's Witnesses are ignorant of the Australian Royal Commission
by stuckinarut2 inmany here have asked how the average witness in australia is taking the news of the arc findings and conclusions.. is it affecting them?.
sorry to say, hardly any are even aware of the facts.
those that are, have been convinced that all the publicity is "apostate lies and satanic propaganda".

Stuck - many I know watched the ARC footage. Some were even posting links to the hearing on FB saying they could watch it live. One guy in particular kept posting on FB how he couldn't wait to watch it & how he couldn't wait for the jw's to 'shine before the worldly authorities'. After the hearing had finished, he removed all his posts relating to the ARC.

Smiddy - how do they explain G Jacksons appearance at the ARC? A friend in FB said this: what a wonderful witness Bro Jackson was during his appearance during the ARC. He was questioned by the ARC about sexual abuse of children within his organisation, and you call that a 'wonderful witness'??
I was also on holidays with a group of jw's at the time this broke out. Two of the people knew one of the abusers. At least this group of jw's had the sense to see how 'disgusting & embarrassing' this was & what a bad name this gave the jw's a (their words, not mine'). Another one was not looking forward to going witnessing just in case this was bought up as he didn't know how he could defend this kind of behaviour.
So I guess there are those that do see it as it is. And others that are so blind & brainwashed that anything the GB says or does is faultless.

Elders harassing me
by raven inhi everyone, it has been a while since i've last updated!
(refer to my previous posts for the full story) here is a quick re-cap: 2 months ago my mother found out that i am living with my boyfriend, she told me i was discovered by an "anonymous" tipper who turned me in for "living in sin".. first of all, that is nearly impossible, the congregation i was in is 100's of miles away from where i currently live.. no one would have ever known i was living with my boyfriend unless i told them, which i never did, i cut off all communication with that congregation in part of my attempted fade which was blown into pieces and discovered.. anyways, my mom tells me if i don't go to the elders and confess like a good little sheep, then she is obligated to tell them.. ( don't see why, i don't even live under her roof ) well i never went to them because why should i?
so they met with my mother and she told them i live with my boyfriend... let me remind you, this was two months ago.. i was told i was going to be df'd and that was that.

Is it me or were the experiences at the assemblies really contrived?
by keyser soze inmy favorite were the ones where they were reading a wt publication in the break room at work, and an inquisitive co-worker, thirsty for spiritual knowledge approaches them.
this leads to an informal witness, which eventually leads to bible study and baptism.. in all my years of working, i've never had anyone show the slightest bit of interest in what i was reading while i was on my break at work.
but as i said, maybe it's just me..

I remember on 2 occasions when witnessing with pioneers where they kept people at the door for ages. The householders were rolling their eyes and clearly too nice to tell us to go away or refuse the publications. These pioneers later relayed these experience on stage & exaggerated EVERYTHING to the point of one pioneer saying that they had asked for a study & was just praying to God for help and - voila - we knocked on the door. It was clearly a lie. So some of those experiences relayed even at the meetings are lies. Not surprising I guess since the whole religion is based on lies, lies & more lies...

Were you beaten as a child?
by purrpurr ini've been confronting my mother with her dubious parenting skills (abuse) of me as a child.
particularly the beatings i would get with the wooden spoon.
not a light smack but hitting me as hard as she could for as long as she could.

The wooden spoon was common when I was young though my mum never did that to us - we got a smack on the butt & not very hard either. But my dad was another story. One day he hit my sister so badly round the head she ended up in hospital... The doctors were concerned she may have brain damage but lucky she didn't. I can never forget seeing my sisters bloodied face, shirt front & walls.... Not something a 7 year old should experience. -

How was your day/ week thread?
by The Rebel inthis thread is for when you have to say something to get it out of the system, whether it is happy or sad.
my reason for stating the thread is that on occasion some threads do tend to get a little heated here, and maybe this thread will enable us to reflect on the important fact, we are real people and not just dots on a computer screen.. i would love to start the thread with a bang, but nothing of particular interest has happened, only i do hope the weather improves as the climate i live in has been sadly chilly for the time of year, (if you get the deeper meaning).
