I did, it was on my door the other day when I came home. I just posted this as a new topic but can't find where it posted so I'll repeat what appalled me about the tract among many things. The title of the tract is The End of False Religion is Near! Here is a quote from the tract" Icame across a subtitle Called "False Religion... Tolerates Immoral Sex" They actually have the nerve to say, and this is an exact quote " "Even churches that condemn immoralality have tolerated religious leaders who have sexually abused children" I can't see how they would have the nerve to bring this to people when the word is out what they tolerate and who they protect. I bet they're thrilled when no one answers the door and they can leave the tract and run. I bet they miss the good old days when all they had to do is defend their stand on Christmas and Birthdays.

I had a tummy tuck in 1989, I was 33 years old. I was not overweight at all, just had lose skin and no muscle tone from large babies. No matter how thin I got I still had a pouch. I loved my results, I don't regret it a bit. I had no complications. I don't know what they cost these days, but I paid $2,500. My advise is if you do it make sure you are healthy and do your research on surgeons. If you'd like I could email you a great website with a forum on tummy tucks. The ladies on there are a wealth of information and you can ask them who they would recommend for the area you live in.

lost1recovered, I'm sorry to hear you're sick, I hope you'll be okay. I'm 50 years old and still turn to my Mother when I'm sick or when I need to vent about something. Thank goodness she left the JW's at the same time I did 25 years ago. I'm so sorry you're Mom is treating you like that, I can't imagine doing that to my child. Witnesses are Challenged in many ways. They are emotionally challenged, socially challenged. They have learned to have such conditional love and can easily disconnect from loved ones. It's very sad. Welcome to the forum, you can vent here as much as you want. Consider yourself {{{{hugged}}}} from a Mommy type.

A Bad experience with JW is a permit for SIN?
by El Mariachi ini've been reading some sad experinces here... i dont see anyone talking about the bible... only how misserables the organization made their lives... ok ...so because of that...now i have permission to smoke marijuana and commit fornication?
this sounds pretty much like aa... and everybody having his/her personal "superior power" who is giving them the permit to do whatever they want...
i've been df for 4 years now and also dont agree with some jw teachings... why instead of blaming the wt for everything dont we look for the real truth in the bible and make things right.

El M, when ever there is a large group of people, there are going to be some that you don't agree with. Why do you choose the ones that as you say "fornicate, smoke, smoke pot etc." there are plenty on here that don't. You are the typical JW that judges a whole group of people by what some do. So since that is the way you do things, you must be a pedophile, because the JW organization is full of them so that must mean all JW are child molesters. One of the Elders that disfellowshipped me was later caught molesting young boys in our congregation. What were you disfellowshipped for? Molesting, fornication, wearing sideburns? What was it.

Is it me, or is this as tacky as it comes?
by Icansaylucky inthis week there was a obituary of an elder i knew when i was a witty.

the obit didn't say anything accept: "so and so died after a lengthy illness, he was member of the jehovah's witnesses.

Undercover,
Usually when they ask for contributions to any Charity, they also mention that he had a wife of 50 years and 4 wonderful children and 6 fantastic grandchildren. They actually name them for that personal touch.
I haven't researched any of the Charitys that you've mentioned as to whether they are non profit organizations or not, but we've already established that the Witnesses are loaded, why don't they fund their own Kingdom Halls instead of asking for money in a obit. -

I realize that the family puts it in, that's why I think it's tacky. They are Witnesses. I mentioned also that it may even have been the deceased (who was an Elder) request, I still think it was in poor taste. In fact the address given for the contributions to be sent to was to his daughter and Son in Law's house who also is an Elder.

Oh Wonderwoman, that makes me sick. I've never seen a more clueless group of people in my life. They are completely socially retarded. I'm sure Brother Dickhead counted his time as well. Sick sick sick.

This week there was a obituary of an Elder I knew when I was a Witty. He had several children and a wife. The obit didn't say anything accept: "So and So died after a lengthy illness, He was member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Please send contributions c/o of So and So for the Kingdom Hall builing Fund. A memorial will be at Such and Such at Such and Such time." I can't believe they wouldn't write about his children and wife, he also had several Grandchildren. I think fishing for Kingdom Hall Funds in this way is disgusting to say the least, whether it was his request or not. At least if you are going to do that mention your family as well. Can't Witnesses do anything balanced?
