One must not be a baptized Witness to have a JW funeral. An unbaptizd friend of my parents died last month and had one. The same for the late singer Selena.

Can I get some neutral insight without being preached to?
by Nancy ini am not a jw but my mother-in-law is.
since the day her son proposed to me (he is not a jw) she has made my life a living hell.
we have been married for just over a year and have a beautiful baby girl.

Religion has nothing to do with it, Nancy. The woman probably has mental issues. If you want somebody to tell her things, then write or contact the elders of her congregation. Probably she will get embarrased by it.

JW Service
by skeason ini was wondering if anyone could tell me how a jehovah's witness service goes.
what is different from a run of the mill methodist or baptist service?
are there things that are specific to a jw service?

Ive been watching it since it premiered. Last night's show made me sleepy! And i think I slept and didn't get to see the last 2 sing. For some reason i found it boring and long. And I like the show. But I don't know about last night. Maybe because of the Country Theme.

Why does the mother want to chose the right religon for her daughter? She can't do that. And if the daughter lets her control her that way, she is certainly stupid. But good for the daughter. Whatever make her happy.

Yes/No - Will the good news ever be preached through out the earth?
by eyeslice inno - not by jehovah's witnesses.
there seems to be no clear line from the society on how much preaching needs to be done before the "end".
the "stones would cry out" principle is sometimes aluded to but i was/am a little vague on the official line.

About 2 years ago, the Society said that every territory had been preached in the 12 months of the service year, except about 2. And these 2(?) were going to be worked at beginning of the service year. Although India and China are not Christian countries. theres a possibility the can really grow there. Take Japan for instance.
