Satan has nothing to do with it.
Relax and the right guy will come along. There are still people out there that believe in relationships.
It takes time to find someone special that is going in the same direction but it is worth it once that person is found.
When you chase the butterfly it flutters away from your grasp. When you lay down in sheer exhaustion from the chase the butterfly will land on your nose.

well...codeblue must be wearing her heart on her sleeve.. maybe it is because she has a heart and can't believe that one of her fleshly sisters has been so hateful to her (as on my last thread).. i shared the conversation with one of my neighbors.
tear were welling up in her eyes as i shared it.. i stopped her and said: i see tears in your eyes:.
she said: i just hate it when people are treated like that.
Contrary to what the Society would have us believe the world is full of decent and good people.
I have gotten very involved with the Red Cross since leaving the Org. I am regularly amazed at the calibre of people I meet as a result. These are just normal people who want to help others. While I was a JW I was led to believe that such people didn't exist. yet according to the JW's these people who volunteer their time and resources are going to die at Armageddon.
Some of these vlunteers are simply amazing. Single parents or others that are caring for aged parents working full time but yet make themselves available to help others.
JW's would lead you to believe they have the market on good people. My experience has proven otherwise.
Good people are everywhere, including you!

Scully and I share medical texts on a regular basis so I am not too worried about her. But as a typical guy the sound of latex gloves snapping on sends shivers to my spine!

Okay Blondie...fess up. What are your nicknames for mr Irreverant? I am sure you have a couple that rank right up there with pookiehead.
we all know about how the society has tried its best to avoid taxes.
for one, the whole deal with switching over to contributions for literature after jimmy swaggart lost his case.
and also with providing food at the conventions.
If they accept any form of taxation it opens the doors to everything else getting taxed.
Consider how much they save by not having to pay property tax, employee deductions, etc. they oppose taxation on any level out of fear it will open the flood gates. Taxation is one of the few things the Society actually fears since it could bankrupt them.
Just like any other major religion.

How could I forget Dolly!!! I met her at Dollywood. I swore she was just some buxom gal hired to play Dolly. I actually made her pull out her license before I believed her. I ended up meeting many members of her band. She was sooo laid back and normal. I can understand why you might have been tongue tied around her.
On that trip to Tennessee I ended up meeting Alan Jackson as well. Not quite as laid back but a decent man.
