Revelation book is the one that made me want to jump and say 'WHAT?????". I could'nt beleive that they were saying that the seven trumpet blasts were referring to Bible Student Conventions.....(Cedar Point, Ohio etc.) Half the stuff presented at those conventions are not even considered by the witnesses today as being accurate, so how the hell could they say this???????????????????????

Some guys in my hall went to the door and used biblical names when introducing themselves. One guy said his name was Obadiah, the other Melchizadek. It was kind of funny. Obadiah is gay now, Melchizadek is an Elder.

later in the column he indicated he is no longer a jw.
will jws be subjected to disfellowshipping if they admit to reading his column?

The witnesses are very "Hard Core" in Tennessee. I met one who yelled at me for hanging around a worldly person once.

Tennessee is a great state.....Things that come to mind are:
-Beautiful country (scenery)
-Nice people
-Fishing
-Nashville
-Houston County
-History
-Confederate Flags on front license plates
-Big Bellies
-High foreheads
-Kentucky Lake
-Clarksville
-Barefoot Mallory
-Terms like: "I'll holler at ya later".

.....and that's why i hate, dislike, can't stand, anyone that used to be an elder???
..........after reading so many "bad elder" stories, i can understand why some might feel that they were just one of the rank-and-file and were treated poorly vs. someone like an elder that could have authority and try to intimidate those that they felt they could push around.

Allow me to play devils' advocate for a moment, and say that the Watchtower can rightly say they are "hated" on account of Jesus' name when BECAUSE of the fact they ARE NOT considered to be people who hold Jesus in as high esteem (Ultimate God Status) as those of other "Christian" religions, then that is one of the reasons they are "hated" on account of His name. It can truly be said that there are a lot of Christians who hate the Witnesses solely because of this...In other words..."On account of his name" or the lack thereof. Just thought I'd throw that in there.
