  okay, well there haven't been enough heated political debates here recently, so let's start another one... j/k, mods!

  seriously, if i could get intelligent replies to this thread, rather than hyperactive fulminations, that would be much preferred.. my question is, how do you feel about the decriminalization of recreational drugs?

  whatever you feel about the morality of using drugs, and taking as fact that the abuse of drugs is harmful, we're currently spending billions of dollars a year in a losing war on drugs, and in the process creating a whole criminal substructure that thrives on selling smuggled goods.. so here are my suggestions.. 1. allow the sale of recreational drugs to adults, exclusively at licensed and regulated establishments (along the lines of liquor stores).. 2. require that all drugs be carefully labeled with the exact amounts of all active ingredients, as well as a comprehensive list of all inactive ingredients, just as is required of pharamaceuticals.

  ...and one more thing, the time IS short. So Jesus Freak, put down the Michael W. Smith cd's, and pick up a Kingdom Melody, because if you do not align yourself with God's chosen people...Jehovah's Witnesses, then you will be destroyed. True, those of the great crowd of Jehovah's people have erroneously and impetuously speculated as to when this system of things would end, to their peril, but those of the Governing Body (chosen ones) have NEVER done this. They have faithfully adhered to the Bible counsel to "Keep on the watch, for you do not know when the Lord's day will arrive". But, Jehovah has spoken to these Chosen Ones through dreams and during quiet meditation, and admittedly, after furious masturbation sessions, and given to these Ones secret information as to when the Lord will indeed arrive. The manipulation of their genitals not withstanding, these Chosen Ones of the Governing Body, continue to admonish us in the correct course of action to take in ANY given circumstance....how to bathe, how to dress, what movies to watch, what kind of intercourse to engage in with our spouse, the particular brand of vibrating butt plug's that are appropriate for a Christian, etc. You do well to heed the 'masters' voice dear JF. I will do you a favor and study the Bible with you for 20 dollars a session, only we won't study the "Bible" per se, but one of the books that Jehovah wrote such as "Millions now living will never die". Does that sound good?

  they certainly do, and this is forever being thrown in my face.

  however, when jesus said his desciples would have love amongst themselves, surely he didnt mean it would just be amongst themselves?

  The "loving" elders

  i havent been responding to many posts lately, ive sort of had my hands full.. i haven't been to the meetings in about 4-1/2 months - my mother has had two strokes and been in the hospital and doing rehab.

  (before that i was occasionally going in order to bring her to the hall, my mother is in her 80s and the dubs are her only social outlet.

  no one has a clue that ive had my eyes opened about the borg.

  What Was The Nicest / Worst Thing That's Happened To You as a JW?

  for me, (at the time), being appointed at the age of 24 was my biggest happiness.....the worst thing was leaving my first congregation because certain people wanted me out.......were there any particular highs and lows that you will never forget about being a witness?

  Jesus Freak,

  The only true religion (Jehovah's Witnesses) recieve divine direction on all matters directly from Jehovah God Himself. This direction is given to a group of Special Men, who have been specially selected by God to join Him in heaven at the conclusion of their earthly course. These special men merely transcribe to printed page what Jehovah God tells them to write. This divine instruction can only be found through the magazines called the Watchtower and Awake, and other publications distributed by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. These are the only avenues Jehovah God is using to communicate with humans today. If you do not accept this as truth, and mind you, you have been told now, you will be destroyed in the great day of God the Almighty, armageddon. I would suggest finding the nearest Kingdom Hall and request a bible study immediately. You life IS at stake.

  Why It Is So Easy To Shun Disfellowshipped Family & Friends

  i believe that jehovah's witnesses have learned through mind-control that a "true" christian must "disown" all family and friends for the sake of the "truth".

  if such disowning means leaving relationships with persons that no longer want to remain in the "truth", then that is the choice that they are making.

  besides, if those that are shunned realize how much love their "brothers and sisters" really have for them, they might come around and get their lives saved after all!........any comments?
