dear brothers,
it has been brought to our attention that certain brothers have had questions regarding the societies' membership as a non governmental organization with the united nations from 1991-2001. rest assured that we are no longer members, having removed ourselves from this organization over 3 years ago.
it was only in our undaunted zeal to proclaim the good news to "all nations" (as was jesus' admonition), in these critical last days, that the faithful slave class approved membership as an ngo.
I think there will come a time soon when the Society will look back and WISH they had made a response like this, instead of the library card excuse. Also their response that once they realized the language of the requirements to be an NGO changed, they dis associated themselves. It's too late to take it back. The lie is already out there. It's a double whammy. First the joining of the Un, then the lame excuses afterword. Any witness with half a brain could figure out the deceit involved. I told my staunch witness Aunt about this scandal and she came back and told me that she had talked to a brother who is an assistant CO, and she said he hadn't even heard of this scandal and that he would get back to her if there was any validity to it. He confirmed the scandal existed (not referring to it as a scandal of course) and my Aunt asked; "Isn't that hypocritical?" To which he responded; "That just about says it". She told me about this and said even the Apostles made mistakes and were sorry for them. My next question to her will be; "When did the Society EVER apologize for this?" ANYTIME the Society messes up it is called a "refinement." If anyone is ever brought before a Judicial committee for adultery, they should say; "I know I was screwing the neighbors' wife for ten years...but I've made some refinements in my understanding." Good luck with that one.

I didn't mean to be mis-leading. My query was a hypothetical one. What "IF" the Society had given that excuse as the reason they joined? Would that have set better with you. Sorry again for any confusion.

It is regrettable that some have been stumbled by this membership, likening it to being part of the wild beast of Revelation. This is NOT THE CASE! Being as we are, imperfect humans, we may have made an error in our thinking on the matter. It was our only hope that membership as an NGO might show the nations, and their governments, that Jehovahs Organization is not a harmful 'cult' as false media reports have caused some to believe, but that we are a loving organization with only positive motives. Again, in our zealousness to further the Kingdom preaching work we mistakenly had hoped to gain access into UN member lands where our life saving work is under ban. We do well to remember that Jesus was the only perfect person to walk the earth, and as well meaning as we may have been in this matter to expand the work He commissioned, we are confident that our merciful God Jehovah, who sees "all things', would take note of our intentions, and forgive us our "mistakes". It is our hope that this will satisfy any further inquiries into this matter, and that we may move forward in the ministry in glorious praise to our Heavenly Father.
Your Brothers,
Brooklyn Branch Committee.
hey guys, .
was just wondering what is your worst jw buzzword.
probably all of us hate the "just leave it in jehovah's hands.
"The Friends"
"Sound down into our hearts"
The "loving" provision of dis-fellowshipping.
i'm trying to develop a more positive attitude, so i'm trying to look for the good in everything, even the wts.
i think jws are good for the economy because:.
1. they spend money in tim hortons which provides employment for people and helps boost the economy.
-No Smoking
-Don't fight in wars ( if everyone did this, think how good that would be)
-No Trinity belief
-No Hell fire doctrine
THAT'S IT.
That is my honest assessment. And before anyone calls me a witness sympathizer, read my other posts, and you will see that I am just being as honest as possible. You'll also find that I am a complete lunatic.
Thanks,

Hi,
My Aunt just told me that there is NEW LIGHT in the July 15th Watchtower study article. She won't tell me what it is. She said to look close and I would find it. I don't have the mag. I can get it though, and I will, but I was just wondering if anyone had seen this NEW LIGHT, and could tell me what it is. I am overflowing with joyous anticipation as to what fine nourishment the Faithful Slave has deemed appropriate to dispense to us. Oh My! The light is getting brighter and brighter....How joyous. I am indeed filled with joyfull, joyous, joyousness.
Thanks,

Hi,
On Saturday May 29th, there will be a talk given at the district assembly in my area, called "Walking in the Path of Increasing Light". I will not be able to attend this talk. Does anyone have any insight as to whether this is an announcement of some "New Light"? Or perhaps a "reminder" not to question the changes that have been made in the past? Or something else? Any insight on this would be very appreciated, and would no doubt lead to some very lively speculation/discussion on this forum I'm sure.
Thank You,
Integ.
1) our young ones are indeed a grand blessing in the congregation.
they often times assist elderly ones in the ministry, take on responsibility in the congregation, and also assist in the caring and maintenance of the kingdom halls.
but thoughtful youth also do well to ask themselves..."am i doing enough?".

2) With summer almost here, wise young ones have made the wise decision to forego any free time they have in order to increase their share in the preaching work. Shunning the pleasures of this evil system, some have decided that any available freetime be spent in praise of their Creator, by having a full share in the pioneer work. How wise.
YOU CAN DO IT!
3) Wise young ones have discovered the joys of sharing in the full time ministry. One Christian youth, 3 year old "Miranda" from 'Minnesota" put it well when she noted.."I truly enjoy my time spent in the full time ministry with my parents. Too many young ones today spend their time playing games with other youth. I realize that having a full share in the kingdom preaching work is the best way I could spend my time. I realize that by perservering in this life saving work that we have commissioned, it is indeed a grand shout of praise to our Superlative Exemplar Jehovah". How fine.
NEXT WEEK: "Do You Really Need to Eat?"
1) with summer just ahead, what plans have you made to increase your share in praising jehovah?
family heads who are entrusted with their families spiritual welfare, will do well to encourage their mates, and children to make the most of any extra time they may have away from the workplace.
by increasing their share in the ministry.
No....It's a spoof. It's like a movie that's based on a true story. The actual "instruction" my spoof was based on, is from the April 2004 Kingdom Ministry, and reads as follows:
Week starting May 3
Song 48
10 min: Local announcements.
Briefly comment on activities usually planned for summer:attending the district convention, auxillary pioneering, making improvements around the house, and perhaps enjoying some recreation. If the congregation has seldom worked territory, announce what arrangements are being made for thourough coverage. Diligent planning is needed to ensure that family study, congregation meetings, and field service are not neglegted if travel or other summer activities take us out of our usual routine. (Prov. 21:5) Remind all to turn in their field service reports, regardless of whether they are at home or away.
note: the preceding was NOT a spoof.
