Sorry it took me so long to respond. Thank you for the encouragement. I will continue to post my little "insights" and hope that someone will find them useful. I realize it takes a little while for people to warm up to a new guy. I actually started posting pro jw stuff when I stumbled onto this site (sticking up for them on certain issues). I have since taken a head first dive into full blown "apostasy", when after doing research on doctrines, etc, I have discovered what I used to accept as infallible dictates from the "slave", have turned out to be controlling techniques that have kept me and some of my close relatives enslaved for many years. I am very angry at this. I was always ignored at the Hall because of my worldly tendencies, and my lack of service time, etc. So it has been nice to have an outlet of free speech on this site. Thank You All.

in an upcoming watchtower study article about youth's, it is brought out that young witnesses never hesitate to acknowledge the fact they are " one of jehovah's witnesses" when asked.

and to be prepared to "make a defense" to anyone asking the reason behind their faith.

and also are admonished (witnessism) to not ever have a "fear of man".

That's an interesting point. Thank you for sharing your insights on the latest Watchtower articles. You realize no-one will respond to you, because you did'nt pose an interesting question. Realize my dear friend, in order to receive feedback from this board you need to post interesting topics such as "What toys did you play with as a child?" or "When was your first kiss?" You must understand my friend that these are the topics that people respond to on this forum. If you wish to get responses stick to venomous bashing of witnesses. And please leave current topics such as the latest news from the mags and "Hall" to people who have been OUT of the org for a few years. They are the ones we wish to get our info from. NOT some guy who still attends meetings once in a while, and reads the mags to get the latest "light". We really don't care what people who can share the insights that only people on the inside can offer, have to say here. Whether or not you are bailing on the org or not. Your insights are not welcome my friend. Now if you post a question on masturbation techniques...We'll be here to give you our two cents. Thanks, Buddy. P.S: I't would help if on further posts that you close with an obligatory "All witnesses are shitheads".

In an upcoming watchtower study article about Youth's, it is brought out that young witnesses never hesitate to acknowledge the fact they are " one of Jehovah's Witnesses" when asked. And to be prepared to "make a defense" to anyone asking the reason behind their faith. And also are admonished (witnessism) to not ever have a "fear of man". In my opinion witnesses would do well to heed this "wise counsel" and not be in fear of - ELDERS, GB, CO'S, DO'S, ETC, ETC. That is truly being in fear of man. I think most witnesses are controlled by their fear of these men. Being DF'd etc. They would do much better and trust in God, instead of the interpretations of imperfect (spirtually criminal) men.

If This Place Was A Congregation, Who Would Be The Elders, MS and CO's?

i know some of you hate the idea of jwd being like a congregation but just for fun, let's imagine who would "serve" as the elders (presiding overseer, secretary, service overseer) etc.

and what "privileges" you would be given.

Changing Truth........

i was at the book study last night and the elder conducting was talking about the old assemblies, like 1935, when rutherford exhorted everyone with an earthly hope to stand up, and half the crowd stood up, then rutherford said "behold the great crowd" or something to that effect, which was a departure to previous doctrine of one distinct class of salvation inheritors.

to which the elder conducting commented "we see here how jehovah has been progressively revealing his truth to the faithful and discreet slave class all through the ages"...he then said "we'll just have to see what changing truth is revealed at our next assembly...i'm sure we are all looking forward to these new truths".

are'nt we all on this forum looking forward to these 3 days of spirtual nourishment?

What's so ridiculous is the statement itself 'New Truths". Truth is truth, it does'nt change. SPECULATIONS change. Someones PERCEPTION of what they INTERPRET as truth. But Truth itself does not.

What's Wrong With Mother's Day? I Forgot.

okay, maybe i'm getting old or maybe it's because i have been an exjw for going on 10 years now, but i can't remember what's up with jws and mother's day.

i remember my mother going with another sister to my brother's classroom for some mother's day pageant back in the 60's when we lived in alaska.

there is also a commandment in the bible about "honor your father and your mother.

Mothers' Day is pagan. But interestingly the marriage rituals such as the ring, the veil, the whole deal, is pagan too. But they allow THAT. Remember folks, whatever the 'Faithful Steward" says is directly from God. You people should know better than to question the Mother Organization, who gives us this fine 'Meat in Due Season".

stealing someone elses thread about music..... what were some of the television shows that you thought were just too horrible to think of watching, or were conseled on watching?.

i got reamed out for watching the simpsons.

i just laughed at the ms who freaked on me.

i could'nt be a fan of DePaul or Notre Dame because they were catholic schools.....(although I secretly rooted for ND) but felt guilty about it. I was'nt even allowed to watch the Andy Griffith show because it glorified drunkenness i.e: Otis Campbell.
