  Are Jw's that important?

  sunday's talk on avoiding satan's snares brought out an interesting point that the human government's very soon will be turning all their military and political might on god's people here on earth, because of the fact jehovah's witnesses would be perceived as such a dangerous threat to the governments of the world because of their christian neutrality.

  which begs the question.....when the hell were the witnesses ever a dangerous threat to anything besides logic?

  they really are so freaking full of themselves.

  The Witnesses weren't too small to get attention from Hitler, Stalin, Dr Bwanda (sp?), or plenty of other dictators.

  The Witnesses were merely sidenotes to these guys. How many people even know that the Witnesses were persecuted in Nazi Germany? A witness to All the nations huh? What about Stalin?, same thing. While it may be true that ANY pacifist organization could be perceived as a potential threat to a twisted dictatorship, the fact remains that their are only 6 million Witnesses in the world who are supposedly "Rocking The Nations" with their earth shattering message. Oh yeah,i'll bet the Nations are just "shuddering" at the implications of a pacifist force of 6 million people destroying everything they have worked for, especially when this organization joined them in the United Nations...i.e"The Wild Beast's Representative" That's "Getting Real".

Those book bag toting retards are a threat to NO-ONE but the sad, hapless saps who join up with them. The government's don't give a crap. How are 6 million pacifists a threat to world security.   In the sense they "claim" to follow Christ.... YES.

  In the fact they don't follow his true message....NO.

  But the only "true" label they deserve is "EVIL CONTROLLING SECT".

  question for the believing witness?

  1) if by your own teaching's you believe that jehovah is a god of truth and cannot ever tell non -truths, how do you explain why the watchtower has changed it's "understanding" of scriptures so many times?

  Question for the believing Witness?:

  1) If by your own teaching's You believe that Jehovah is a God of truth and cannot EVER tell non -truths, how do you explain why the Watchtower has changed it's "Understanding" of scriptures so many times? According to the Watchtower, God NEVER changes His mind, and is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Please explain.

  2) Was the Watchtower always written by Jehovah? If not, when did He start writing it?, and if He always has been writing it, why can't He make up His mind on the sheep and the goats, or the Generation issue?

  3) If you say that the Watchtower is written by imperfect men under "God's direction" why do you say it is written by Jehovah "Himself"? And yes You DO SAY THAT. (an Elder recently told me that the Gov. Body merely transcribes to paper what the Holy Spirit is directing them to write).

  4) Are you freaking nuts? No need to answer that.

  whereas i am thinking of doing it again, i hope that it doesn't come down to it.

  I am a current radio announcer and producer, have been for years, in a medium market in the U.S. I'm a former program director. I have worked top 40, dance, talk, country etc. everything but christian format. How did I get away with all this while still being a JW? It's a very interesting story.

  The Jw's will continue to be basically a non-factor, especially since the numbers will continue to go down because of the internet exposure and so forth. They have peaked, especially in civilized nations.

  ok, i've been having a problem with john 1:1. how many gods are there?

  the most famous distortion in the nwt is john 1:1. the nwt inserts the word "a" in front of the second god in this verse.

One way would be to take down their website so no one would even have a reason to get on line. Too severe right? Even the loyalist of dubs would not stand for that. But what do you think they WILL do to stop this "Snare of Satan" from entrapping the entire rank and file members? I don't think telling people to simply stay away from it will work in the long run. It certainly won't stop householders and such from looking, so they have to DO SOMETHING don't they?

  Which way will the Society go because of the Internet?

  i've only learned the truth about this society over the last 5 months or so, so i'm not sure what the difference is to say - 2 years ago.

  do you think the society will now get even more cultish in it's methods of teaching and more heavy handed if they feel things are slipping?

  i don't feel i'm being over the top here because i've experienced very heavy handed talks at the assemblies and kingdom hall in the past that are just plain scare tactics but this just makes people ask more questions ??

  I personally am not seeing any increase in the witness numbers at the hall...Nobody ever brings anyone new in unless it's an "unbelieving spouse" etc. I went to a meeting the other night and when asked to relate any positive experiences in the field there were only 4 responses. And they were along the lines of "The householder showed SOME interest"etc. Even with those few responses you could tell the people giving the experiences were digging for ANYTHING positive to gleen from countless hours in the ministry. Just thought I'd pass that along.
