Why is the month of October Special to JWs

who else has been told that the month of october is a special month because in the past jehovah has fulfilled many prophecies in that month.. we have been told this twice in the last 2 book studies.. examples are: hand writing on the wall in daniels book happened on 5/6th october 539 bce, .

jesus was born in october 2 bce,.

kingdom rule started in october 1914, but the most interesting one is that ww1 started in october of that year.has anyone else been told this?.

I love all dogs.

I personally own a lab.

I had a pit puppy once, was told my home owner's insurance would go up from owning her, so I returned her, at 7 weeks to the breeder. She was really sweet.

Do the Witnesses Still Go Door to Door?

i have lived at my current address for approximately five years and i have not had any visits from the witnesses.

i don't really want any but here's the deal: i left "the truth" about fifteen years ago.

i wasn't disfellowshipped or anything and (since i moved to another state) it was a relatively clean break.

Unfortunately the WTBTS has led us to absolute conclusions. How very sad!

I still read the true Bible as often as my poor, imperfect personality can. Which is 4 to 5 times a week. I gain insite and wisdom still.

Don't be so judgemental. Jesus ransom sacrifice forgives our shortcomings.

Do the best you can!

An Invitation to a Wedding

yesterday, i received in the mail a wedding invitation...well not actually a wedding invitation, it was more of a re-newal of vows invitation.

with me so far...ok, i'm fine with that.

i even visited her church a few years ago, it was nice, but i don't want to join a church.

My opinion is you should never miss a wedding or a funeral.

Go, bring a guest. Don't be judgmental. Make gift donation to their Hawaii hopes. What comes around goes around. Throw yourself in the positive spirit and gain energy from it.

Are you honest when you say your age?

i know people who don't say their real age, like take off 2 or 3 years.... my mom looks younger than her age, so she sometimes took off a few years.

gee, i'm just the opposite, i rather say my real age, and wait for a compliment saying "hey you look good for your age".

how about you, do you ever lie on your age?

Where were you on the a.m. of 9/11/01?

i was at work -- a manager in a hospital that is the regional treatment center for one medical specialty...region includes nyc.

someone came & grabbed me hard by the arm and pulled me into a room, where i saw every single mgr.

sitting silently watching tv.

I was at work too. The business for the day went dead.

For a moment I thought, I was wrong and the witnesses were right. Here we go, Armageddon.

Then, I decided to try to do something. I left work to donate blood. Something I never did before.

The 9/11 tragedy brought home very bad memories again as I was raped by 5 men from Irag in February of 1998. I felt like those same people had raped the whole country this time.

Our company fell into hard financial times that we struggled with and are still struggling with.

Since then, I have run the 9/11 memorial 5k every year and will never miss it for the rest of my life.

I will never forget.
