Yes I know. In early times people worshipped many gods, some worshipped just one out of the many gods, and some worshipped more at the same time. But nowadays the big religions have a totally different image (imagination) of the only god, the god of the unholy Bible. I just tried to point out that Yahweh (the volcano- or mountain-god in the beginning) has a career. The German documentary is quite interesting. Hopefully it will be translated someday into English.
Yes I understand. It can be, that it is not the best agument to convince a Witness of the Watchtower by telling him, that the Watchtower promotes the Lightbringer. But somehow it is so apparent, isn't it? And if someone, a former Witness like *lost* realises it, I can understand that he has a need to talk about it, even if it does not reach many Witnesses, but I can tell you, it does reach outsiders and information like the Watchtower being a satanic cult could help as a preventive for outsiders not even to consider to become a part of that group. ExWitnesses can accomplish more, if they concentrate on unknowing outsiders. If a Witness of the Watchtower goes from door to door the one inside the house should already know more about the history of the Watchtower than the Witness itself. Informing the public would be a good strategy to save gullible people to become members of a cult.

That is also my conclusion when reading the OT. Yahweh (JHWH) was one of many gods. And as we know, in these old times the illiterate desert tribes worshipped even volcanoes and mountains as gods, because they were not able to understand natural phenomena. Earthquakes, thunderstorms and floods appeared as anger of the gods. The roaring of a volcano was gods voice and so on. But over the centuries the invention of the ancient Yahweh (one of many gods) could win through and due to the promotion of some influential men could develop and transform to a new and single god. Monotheism was born. Yahweh (JHWH) had a wife, Asherah. The latest archaeological records proof that.
But I understand *lost*. If you want to argue with someone who's been talked into believing that Jehovah is and was the only god - which of course is also an invention of men, a misinterpretation and in some cases even a lie, or in the case of the Watchtower Company an open conspiracy, which I can proof with their own literature. If you want to argue with someone, who has been tricked into this conspiracy invention of the Watchtower than you have to think and argue differently. And if you study the history and the literature of the Watchtower Company and the pictures, images and words they use in their literature, there is no doubt, that the Watchtower Company promotes the Lightbringer (Lucifer), again, another conspiracy and invention of men.

As a kid I had to study the Watchtower literature with a man who claims to be one of the 144000. That was a big issue for me at that time. I personally knew a man who will someday look down on me from heaven, judging me permanently. And I was sure he would take a close look. Just think about it. No more privacy! No more privacy for all eternity? Not even when going to the bathroom? All of a sudden, their fantasy of a paradise lost all its appeal and of course all its credibility. I think that was also the time I developed critical thinking and I early came to the conclusion that paradise, under the circumstances the Watchtower Company describes it, was nothing else but hell.

But the guys of the Watchtower Company indoctrinated you, the Witnesses, with their own self-invented conspiracy theory. And you, the Witnesses, play their game. You keep this Watchtower conspiracy alive and you support it actively. You are successfully indoctrinated by the Watchtower Company just to support their fantasies, which obviously get them a lot of money.
Go and look this conspiracy up. It is in The Watchtower, September 1, 1987, page 20: "The United Nations is actually a worldly confederacy against Jehovah God and his dedicated Witnesses on earth. It is really a conspiracy, with the worldly nations getting their heads together and scheming up what they may do against the visible organization of Jehovah God on earth...".
This conspiracy is all over their literature. It just a game. It's the game they play with you. They tricked you into believing this conspiracy by using mind control and they make a lot of money out of it.

Has this anything to do with the Awake! magazine of July 2010? In that magazine the sign of the tetragrammaton above the article "God’s Name Being Made Known!"was replaced by another sign, which can be easily confused with "666". Again, the guys of the Watchtower Company love their own fantasy. They should be known as "the new Lightbringer" because they love to bring new light.

my friend has been studing with the jw's on and off for about 11-12 years i think.
she has told me everytime i see her that she can't wait for jehovah to end this evil world...she can't wait for the new system...the end is so close....etc.. i sent her a message back telling her that i left the jw's and asked her if she had heard that.

I think it would be much better if the Watchtower would build nursing and retirement homes and give the Witnesses something back for all their work and efforts. They've done and donated a lot. They deserve to be treaten better. If there is enough time for the Watchtower Company left to move and build new company buildings, than there is also enough time left to build some retirement homes for the old ones. If their fantasy-god spares new company buildings in the fantasy-war, I am convinced it'll spare retirement and nursing homes too, because after the fantasy-war is over, there is no need for company buildings anymore, so why spend all that donations on company buildings instead of family, social, retirement and nursing homes. -

Thank you Gojira, I really appreciate all the efforts ex-JWs take on. I am a non-believer for a long time. It might be, that I always was one. But there were times I searched and hoped to find a shoulder to lean on, but my thinking always ended in asking too many questions about the unholy Bible and most of the time I came to the conclusion: "No. This is ridiculous." "No. This is a lie". "No. This is not logical." "No. This is inhuman." "No. I don't accept this because of inhumanity." "No. If this or that is God or Jesus, than, sorry guys, I prefer to go with my head held high, right into hell." Today, I don't believe in evolution, I am certain of it.
But I was forced to live as a JW from age 4 or 5 to about age 13. Honestly, I really no nothing about that time. There is a black hole in my mind. After age 13 or 14 I started to live as a normal teenager likes to live and - just to please my mother - attended the meetings at the Kingdom Hall from time to time. I accepted to spend one or two hours with private bible studies with different JWs (also one of the 144.000, one you likes to control people, one you likes to rule with Jesus from above) at home until age 21 - just to please my mother of course. Then I quit being obedient and moved out, got married. It never ever came to my mind to become a Witness of this cruel invention called "Jehovah". I really don't like and don't promote this ancient picture of a god. The moment people accept death as part of life or just as the end of life, there is no need of a god and I am absolutely certain that almost all people are good people without a god. What we really need to live a good life is water, food, a home, a family and social life, jobs and tasks appropriate to our gifts and science and medicine to manage our health problems. This is what we have to work on. We can invent as many gods as we can imagine, but these god-fantasies do not solve our problems or get our lives better. Yes, there is an alternative to inventing god-fantasies that don't work. It is called humanism.
