  JW Burnout

  over the past few months i've had very infrequent contact with my witness friend for a number of reasons.

  her social circle, my failed attempts to open her eyes, and the mind control all had a part in our drifting apart.

  i've recently heard that she seems to be under alot of stress, to the point where there has been a noticable change in her atitude and physical appearance ( i guess she just looks worn out).

  here's a list of statements made by a jw friend of mine to me over the course of several months.

  i'm not a pyscologist, but i saw them as a cry for help.

  the message seems pretty clear to me..

  What Might Happen?

  if i gave a dub friend of mine a copy of "combatting mind control" and told her that her guilt and fear complex is covered in the book.

  i would be sure to tell her it's got nothing to do with jw's, but i noticed some similarities.

  i'd tell her that i am only concerned and reading it would help calm my fears for her wellbeing.. i'd probably never try this, but i'm curious nonetheless.

  Any Experience With This?

  it seems that the lack of love is a pretty large void in the life of a jw and i was wondering how much of an impact it can have in a persons descision to leave the borg.

  i have a very close friend of mine who's in it and has absolutly no love or compassion in her life.

  even her own parents put her down.

  Torn.

  i went to see my jw object of affection yesterday after a two month absence and it didn't go well.

  the woman i love has become fearful of me and reluctant to speak to me.

  the look in her eyes told the whole story.

  Meeting A JW Friend Today.

  i am going to visit a friend of mine who is a jw this afternoon and because she's suspicious of me, i may not get to see her for a while, if at all ( she doesn't know i'm coming).

  is there anything i can say or do to ensure another opportunity to see her?

  it will only be for a few minutes and i need to make the most of them.

  Need Help Badly!

  i have a very dear friend who is a jw and i am trying to find a way to open her eyes and make her aware of the bulls**t they spew as "truth".

  i can sense a hint of doubt in her, but cannot openly talk with her about it.

  i gave her a copy of cofc, but she didn't read it and now she doesn't trust me.i need to find a way to open her eyes or at least get her thinking without actually mentioning her beliefs.she made a couple of comments that have stuck with me.

  Getting Them To Question

  does anyone have a suggestion as to raising questions in the mind of a witness without actually mentioning their beliefs?

  i spoke to my jw friend about some concerns i had and got nowhere.

  any conversation about her beliefs is seen as an effort to undermine her beliefs.

  Feel Like Cryin'

  well, my best friend sarah, the love of my life, has deemed me a bad association.

  just when i thought i could get her out those bastards sucked her right back in.

  i know by starting this thread i'm beggin' for a flaming, but this is very serious and need some support and this is the only place that i can get it.

  What Now?

  i gave my best friend crisis of conscience two weeks ago and she said she probably won't read it.

  i hardly have had any contact over the past month because i was fired from where we work.

  with every day that passes i worry more and more.
