Hotels Deny Watchtower Discount Rates For 2020 Regional Conventions

the wtbts is not being given special room rates by 2 major hotels at the long beach convention center area for the upcoming 2020 regional conventions & wt is t'd off.

letters are being read in surrounding circuits and congregations.

apparently wt is afraid that other hotels are going to blackball them as well.. has anyone else heard this?

I would bet that the problem has to do more with the big booking companies (Expedia, Travelocity, etc.) than with the JW's in general.

Hotels will prioritize the big companies over the JW's at any time since the JW's are still a small player in the big scheme of things. And there is only so much you can squeeze out of a hotel. Plus they are not getting the big bucks from the bar or restaurants they may have compared to vacationers or business clients.

And let's face it, many JW's are not that stupid when they log into a travel site and see the rooms at a lower price than what they would pay based on the "recommended" hotels. You can get tired of the BS about how you are getting a better price through the Society. Just check the rates!

It's just a matter of time until the hotel stuff comes to an end.

Russian raid on 50 Jehovahs witnesses

there has been a raid on a large jehovahs witness gathering in norilsk, above the arctic circle, according to the moscow times.. a building with 50 jws inside was surrounded by masked, armed special forces forces who burst into the building and demanded they surrender all electronic devices.. i'll link the article but it's obviously going to drive these witnesses deeper into the religion.

i came across this article written in 2004 by an evangelical.. “when did jerusalem fall?”, rodger young, journal of the evangelical society [jets], 47/1 (march 2004), 21-38.. http://www.rcyoung.org/articles/jerusalem.pdf .

these are the conclusions of the 18-page analysis.

(1) jerusalem fell in the fourth month (tammuz) of 587 bc.

from my perspective.. male adolescents at a very ,very young age , babies , get erections periodically and it has nothing to do with sexual fantasies ,because they don`t even have an awareness of sex between a male and a female at this time.. and it is second inbuilt nature to masturbate to relieve, get rid of the erection .

If you like 537 instead of 536, blame the zero year.

If you like 536 instead of 537, blame the zero year.

The WT says CT Russell got his calculations messed up due to the zero year.

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is Dead

the so-called caliph, one of the most evil men in human history, has blown himself up along with three of his young children while being pursued by american special forces.. the ambition of isis was to expand the territory of the caliphate under the leadership of al-baghdadi to whom individual jihadists swear allegiance.

now isis have nowhere to call home and no leader.

Praise for Trump for getting al-Baghdadi or for Obama getting Osama bin-Laden is pure window dressing. I don't think either (especially Trump if a hotel was not involved) could put a pin on a map of the Middle East as to where most of the countries are such as Kuwait, Yemen, UAE, etc. Even most members of the Cabinet really have no clue on the details.

Presidents rely on the information they receive from the heads of the respective agencies, CIA, NSA, Armed Forces, etc. When they think they have a high percentage opportunity to take out one of the main targets they inform the President.

If successful, the President boasts and preens about how he directed the operation.

These intelligence operations take many years. In the al-Baghdadi case, it's being reported that he has been followed by US Intelligence since 2015. In the Osama bin Laden case, it also was many years, even pre-dating Obama back to the George W Bush years.

I personally never read too much into who is President at the time that Intelligence says they have positively identified a target and have a plan for his removal.
