Desperately need help remembering what movie this scene came from

okay, i know it's a comedy.

there's a man and he's going ballistic over something.

he's screaming and carrying on.

Okay, I know it's a comedy. I think it would be from between 1985-1994.

There's a man and he's going ballistic over something. He's screaming and carrying on. He's standing. There is a woman sitting ; inmy mental image, I see she's pretty and I think she has shortish brown hair.

So while he's carrying on, and takes a breath, she deadpans something like,

"Lou quit"

I'm pretty sure the name was Lou.

Anyway, the guy is totally perplexed and screams, "Who's Lou?"

And she kind of rolls her eyes and says something like, "The delivery man". I know it's not the delivery man, but I can't think of what.

This is driving me crazy.

I know it's not much to go on, but maybe someone will remember.

wow!!!! PHILADELPHIA WINS!!!

Time for another Flyer Stanley Cup....

I do remember the first one they won, as the "Broad Street Bullies". It was 1974 (I think) and no one knew who the hell the Flyers were, but Philadelphia was so hungry for a winning team the city went crazy when they won. I lived up the street from Bobby Clarke at the time, and hundreds of fans congregated there, as well as at "Rexy's", a restaurant/bar the Flyers frequented at the time. My sister was there and she saw a STREAKER!! (Remember them?) Then we had a huge parade in Center City, and the crowds were unbelievable. I can't remember the exact number, but I've never seen anything like it. When the Pope and then Reagan came to Center City, it just didn't compare in the slightest.

Ah, those were the days...

Nineteen Eighty-Four is a most powerful book. After I had finished it, I was literally speechless and in shock for a day. Not just because of its powerful message, but because of the similiarities between the government in that book and the WTS.

Are Birthdays and Christmas celebrations really rooted in Evil????

during the last two months i've tried and tried to rationalize the jw view that, since these "pagan holidays are not based upon the scriptures, they must not be practices by christians".

i've spent a lot of time thinking about this, and trying to come up with their motivation for these policies.

they can't think that celebrating will actually hurt, yet they obviously can't honestly think the practice goes against the bible.. i thought it might just be another "control" for them to place on the flock - and a way to differentiate themselves from other faiths.

One of the WTS lame objections to birthdays (besides that it is a "pagan" custom) is that it is wrong to give so much attention to an mere human rather than to God. Yeah, that's one minute for singing a silly song, another few for opening presents (if you're lucky); that's a LOT of attention.

you know, there is nothing like the pleasure of looking on your bookshelf and seeing all those dub books in their hard bound covers and their pretty colours.

you can arrange them all kinds of ways, putting all the yellow ones together and the blue ones together .then you can put the green graded ones in the middle creating a flowing rainbow effect.

Most of my JW friends had their books prominently displayed in their living rooms. Mine were hidden in a bedroom. I had "real" books in my living room.

wildfire here and man am i glad i came back.

she knows the horror stories of how my annointed ex husband treated me and my kids........ i know i am rambling on ,, but i really needed some one at that very moment of desperation... so i called a true friend to come over and take me away some where any where......and guess what,,, that is exactly what he did without hesitation....( he too was treated badly in his youth by the nazi cultic borg ) if he would not have been there to console me=========i may not be writing this now.... well i couldnt sleep ,, so i woke up at 4 am and decided to visit my invisible angels online..... i read and cried many posts touched my heart with the reality that we are all in this together,,,,,,,.

those bastards arent going to get me down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

the only example i could think of is the thunderous applaus at district assemblies when the bad guys bite the dust in one of their dramas, and that is not the evidence i am seeking.

while it certainly indicates their mindset, i'd rather have concrete, black and white examples of this disgusting attitude.. thanks,.
