1) jehovah is a spirit creature , you agree with this ,ok.. now let us move on , also we have been shown throughout the scriptures that jehovah god is seen as a bright light,no man has ever seen him they have only been able to see or feel his radiance, men have felt his glory, men have felt his presence, even mosess wasnot able to withstand the eminence radiating from god,.
when we look to the collection of various animals on the earth, take africa for instance, hundreds of different species, roaming around the planet earth all in specific herds ,lions monkeys, birds, zebra etc etc is this seen as a zooalogical collection placed on the planet by a supreme being.. .
look to the larger picture, what are your thoughts are humans also a part of this great collection,if man is a part of this collection ,what planet was he abducted from ,and whom done the abduction????????????????.
Hey Nightwarrior,
Since discovering the deceit of the Watchtower. I have thought that Jehovah was an alien. I think he is an Alien with a poor since of humor. His big sick joke being the Watchtower Bible Tract Society.

of the many abuses that the society is responsible for is the unplanned retirement of so many who have given their youth and strength and have sacrificed their whole lives, even selling their homes and businesses, not going to college etc.
on the words coming out of the so-called slaves' mouth that we trusted in about an "end" that never materialized.. many are now turning more attention to their personal finances as many more face an unplanned retirement.many are hopelessly in debt and burdened with mental / emotional problems from years of pioneering and slaving until they can give no more.disappointed from an "end" that never materialized.. the wt.study for today, march 9,2003 continues this abuse when it tells the rank and file not to plan for your future retirement, just continue to come to the meetings, continue to study wt.aids, continue to put the preaching work first, forget about wasting time in the pursuit of your own personal needs, just pray, just pray.. i am one of many who has become a victim of this kind of abuse.so, for those of you who are young and still have years ahead of you, avoid having to wake up to the realization of an unplanned retirement.by all means plan for your future,do not let this abuse of enslavement of your youth ensnare you as the wt.study for today is continuing to try to do to the unwary.. how many on this forum can testfy to the years of service they gave to the society and now have to try and recover from an unplanned retirement as i am doing now.. blueblades, 60 yrs old and making up for lost time (32 yrs.awt.slave ) and involved in a new career in the health field and not planning to retire for a long time yet.
Hi Blueblades,
It is very unfortunate that the Watchtower tells people to not plan for their retirement. Personally, I have not really plan for retirement either, because I thought Armageddon was coming. So now I have to aggressively save. I have a little more time since I'm in my mid 40's.
The Watchtower does not encourage people to be money savvy at all. I think on occasion throughout the years, there may has been a few articles on the perils of getting into debt, but that's about it. Likewise, there are many people here on this board that probably did not go to college, because the Watchtower said put spiritual interest before material interest. And of course, this has directly affected people's ability to earn a living.
I do sympathize with you Blueblades because there are so many people who did put spiritual interest first and are now suffering materially. For some faithful JW's, the golden years are turning into the financial crisis years.
In the United States, the bottom line is money and the Watchtower understands that. That is why the Watchtower has it publishers and pioneers out their pushing their products. The Watchtower has cheap labor--it free! At the end of the day, the pioneers and publishers suffer.

Hello Everyone,
I have not formerly introduced myself to you all. I'm happy sistah. I was raised as a Witness. Currently I am inactive and trying to just fade away from this organization.
I have been coming to this board since the end of Dec. 2002. At the request of one of the members here I started reading Crisis of Conscience by Raymond Franz. I was so outraged by the Double Standard Chapter I have not picked the book up since. Clearly, the Jehovah Witness organization was not the single channel to God.
Additionally, I found out that Voting was now a conscience issue. A CONSCIENCE ISSUE. This outraged me because many people have lost their lives regarding this issue in many countries. And now it's a Conscience issue. And on top of that they don't even tell their members that it is a conscience issue. They put it in a Q&A and never address it from the platform.
I am still reading and doing research about this deceitful and corrupt organization. However, I wanted to know after you realized the Watchtower organization is nothing more than a publishing company and that many things that they teach are simply not true. How did you re-build your belief system?
Do you still believe in God? Do you think we will get resurrected? Do you believe in Christianity?
Whatever insight you could share, I would appreciate it.

how do you feel, now that you are out of the jw's?.
does the watchtower society want to make it feel worse than it actually is?
would you say that the scare of being df'd was worse than the real thing?.
Thanks for the welcome Craig!
The 70's. I got baptized in 1976--because of course Armageddon was coming any minute. In my area..People were getting into huge debt in the 70's because they thought that they wouldn't have to pay it back. Many fell out of the truth in the late 70's. By the 80's I was tired of all the rules.
I wish this board was available to me in the 80's and Raymond Franz's books. These tools have helped me to leave the organization and not have that guilty conscience. I do not have the longing to go to the Hall, anymore.
However, now I have to come up with a different belief system and I am struggling with that.
Life after the Watchtower is great as far as freedom, but I have allot of work to do as far as my belief system. As a member of this board told me to do (JT) Read, Read and Read some more.
So I'm re-building my belief system!

Currently, I'm not DF'd. But back in the 80's I was DF'd and I didn't have a problem with it. I didn't have anyone telling me what I could do and what I could not do. One draw back was the shunning issue, some of my family members would not talk to me, but I didn't want to talk to them either. But of course, some of the family functions I was not included, and that would make me sad on occasion.
However, I always had this longing to go back whenever things were bad. I would say to myself, if you had Jehovah in your life this wouldn't have happen. So I went back. It was better for a while. Then I after awhile I felt that coming back was a mistake. I felt like I did not have what it took to get into the new system. So...I struggled to stay in.. I became inactive and I always tormented myself that I was not a good person because I was an inactive JW.
Then one day last year, I decided I was going to do whatever it took to be an active, good JW. So I started going to the Hall and reading the publications. I was getting ready to start going back out in field service and then one day I stumble upon this board. Needless to say, I was turned on to Freemind and Crisis of Conscience and now I don't feel bad about being inactive.
Actually I feel really good about it because, now I see the light. Eventually, I might take some official stand, but I hate the shunning part. So, for the time being, I will just fade back into total inactivity.

i have a dilema.
my parents are still active jw.
last year they told me they had to limit their association with me.
Hi Happy Roots,
That is really a hard one. I think that Valis gave excellent advice. Set the ground rules. Your parents certainly had no problems setting the ground rules about associating with you. I think if they respect you wishes --your children can certainly benefit from knowing their grandparents. Likewise your parent's lives will definitely be enriched by spending time with their grandchildren.
The shunning issue that Jehovah Witnesses feel that they must abide by and even take to the next level has ruined many families. Unfortunately, it makes families dysfunctional.
Try to work it out, if at all possible.

greetings to all you "free moral agents" in cyperspace.
this is my first post after lurking on this and other boards for over a year.
first i would like to give kudo's to simon for making the site availabe to all who need relief after their "awakening".
Yeah, I was wondering where the brothers are myself. I'm black, but I'm not a brother!
I know that there are a few blacks that post and probably many that are lurking.
I love this board. Actually it has become an obsession for me to read the post on a daily basis. I have learned so much and I am always astonished by the true history of Jehovah Witnesses.
I have only posted a few times...I still feel that I have so much to learn that I mostly just read the post and don't comment. As time goes on I hope to be a very active contributor.

current events are much like a famous boxing match ---- not armageddon.. ali vs liston - ali won by acting crazy and dangerous - which unnerved his opponent.. so, on the road to world peace some nations have to be pushed in the right direction.. europe can tell the arabs ( and others):.
"look we tried to stop them!
they gave the finger to the un and finished off iraq in a couple weeks!.
