  I'm in love with a witness

  i'm new to this forum and have been reading all these topics and posts and kind of getting to know some of you.

  i've always purposely avoided anti-witness or ex-witness opinion before but i'm tired and am looking for an end to it all.

  like it says, i am very much in love with a witness, and she is very much in love with me.

  Welcome to the board, Gig. My take is.......accept her for what she is. If you cannot accept her for what she is, move on. If you try to change her before she's ready she will hate you. When she will be ready could be next week or in 2020. Can you wait?

  sometimes, the gender of a poster is relatively easy to deduce due to their style of posting, and, dare i say it, their choice of vocabulatory.

  but sometimes it is difficult to know if you are "talking" to a man or a woman (or homosexual).

  I have a confession to make that I've been meaning to say for a long time. I just have to say it and I don't care what the consequenses are.........so here goes: I'm a heterosexual male. I know, this may affect my ability to get promoted, apply for government jobs, be a minority and all that entails, but I don't care. I was born this way and I can't change it. I hope everyone is sensitive to my sexual orientation.

  my wife, liza, came home from work this morning (she was doing the 3rd shift thing) and said she was leaving me.

  this afternoon at 1 pm i took her to the bus station.

  at 4:20 pm she was off to nyc.

  On a humorous note, if you ever run across a copy of The Boomer Bible by Laird it is a must read. It's the funniest book I have ever read in my life!!

  i very seldom find time for checking the discussions going on at various debate sites, and wasnt aware of bill bowens statements about ray franz in his original post of oct. 9, 2002 at 7:26 (now evidently altered), until a friend quite recently sent my a copy of it.

  i was not only surprised but was shocked at his statements.

  I was a dub back then, too. So F****** what? What if I wasn't? I very rarely heard of Ray Franz at the time because we weren't to glorify people. I didn't know one thing about him (except he was FF's nephew) until I heard he was disfellowshipped. This is such a lame thread. bjc must be REALLY BORED to go to so much effort to slam Franz.

  Why in ta hell do so many people think, just because Ray Franz is an outstanding, loving, righteous person who laid his heart on the line and wrote a couple of books, that we all worship him? I've never met the man, but his books have been an outstanding part of my recovery from a bullshit borganization and his love for the real "truth" and for others is obvious. I thank God that he wrote what he did and IMHO is a humble, honest, loving person and a real example of a Christian. I don't worship any man and I won't stand here and judge him for sitting on a GB and sincerely trying to do the right thing. We all wise up in our own time. It's been an honor to know him through his books. To accuse him of railroading somebody is utter bullshit. Sheesh.........and double sheesh.........

  My sypathies go out to joelbear and you all. I'm in the same position at 46 years of age. All we can do now is learn from the past and do the best we can with what we have. Easier said than done, of course, but what else can you do?

  Have you ever seen Treasure of the Sierra Madre with Humphrey Bogart? The ending was a classic in movie history and I don't want to spoil it if you haven't seen it although I want to tell you how it ends right now. The ending had a marvelous way of looking at life and the crap that comes a person's way. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it.
