to trust or not too trust; that is my question.
i have a very big problem with trust.
for the love of god who?
You need to learn to trust yourself first.
You are the only person that knows what is best for you. If you trust in yourself and your insticts, when there is a quiet moment and your emotions are calm, then and only then will you know what you want and need.
Best of luck,
Goshawk of the its not pretty but it works class

Is it me or do most of the picts of ex-JW posted here have a commonality. I have notices a subtle but definite look of haunted pain in the eyes of most of the pictures of the posters here.
Goshawk of the maybe I am reading too much into this class.
add things to this list that he can do, as long as he is stuck going to meetings!.
hey italian!
welcome sweetie!
Ok call me a geek.
I used to bring problems written out of my college homework assignments so I didn't have to bring the course book. Then it would look like I was taking extensive notes during the talk while doing my homework. Had to be careful though, taking notes during the song or prayer tended to attract attention. The one big drawback was having the talk flash into memory when taking a test, subliminal messages and all.
this isn't about the running of silentlambs.org.
this is about the people themselves who have been abused.
this is from someone who has never suffered from abuse, who is trying to understand the needs of those who have.. how can those who have not been abused help those of us here who have, and what can we do that would be really useful to those persons?.
Greetings E-man,
I would tend to think that each "Lamb" would have different needs, as each situation is different. Yes, there would be some common wants/needs in many of the cases but, depending on the extent of abuse, level of denial, and amount of healing they have personally gone through would make each persons needs different.
So, as you say let them tell us what they need from us.
Personally having survived and grown beyond physical, emotional and mental abuse I can only start to imagine what life must be like for those Silent and some not so Silent Lambs. Yet, like most of us here, I am able to listen to what they want and need and help as able.
The bottom line, Let them tell us what they want and need.
Regards,
Goshawk

i was reading an article in "jane" magazine today that talks about women child molesters.
it said up to 40% of molestations may be done by women, it's just that its far more underreported than males.
so, anyone know of any jw women molesters?
Hey Avishai,
Having attended some of the same congregations as you I trust that your inquiry is genuine. As to your question technically yes I have do know about a female jw offender. She had not been baptized yet but as a teenager enjoyed taking pictures of younger children naked in various posed situations.

Goshawk
don't you hate those radio commercials for automobile dealers that scream at you very loudly, and always say the have the cheapest deals in town.
i also hate it when the say that their prices start at invoice cost.....do they think all consumers are just total idiots..... .

I would have to agree w/ LB about ex-wives but would have to include in the group the mother-in-law from hell that made you feel like you couldn't do anything right.
This is the same woman when her daughter came to her to talk about being molested, by the cousins, she told her own daughter to 'not stir mud up in the family.'

Gumby,
Personally I don't think Franz's direction or discernment got much better with age. Therefore the Organization might only have to wait until the clone could talk.
my wify has been gone for two weeks, and i,m running out of skivies.
i havnt done laundry in years, anybody!
hot/ cold/ colors/ whites- i'm lost.
This might be pushing the envelope but it seemed related to the subject in a round-about way.
Doing The Laundry
An elderly couple had a happy marriage and what made it so very good was that they had invented a phrase to describe the act of love, so that there was never any vulgarity in their talk. Their metaphor for the act of love was "Doing the Laundry."
One day when Cora Jean, the wife, was vacuuming the living room, Tom Sam, the husband, was watching her with great interest. She was bending over to get dirt from the corners of the room, and stretching up to get dust from the tall lamps. Tom Sam was watching with great interest.
Then Tom Sam said to Cora Jean, "Darling, how about if we do a little laundry?"
Cora Jean said, with reluctance, "Sweetheart, I just have to get this house ready for our guests this weekend." So then she continued her cleaning, and Tom Sam went off about his business.
That night when they went to bed, Cora Jean said, "Sweetheart, what about that laundry you mentioned earlier?"
To which Tom Sam said, "Darling, I just had a small load, so I decided to do it by hand."
calling all ex's!
looks like tomorrow will be another great meetup.
interest had faltered over the last couple of months, but i think that was mainly due to the venues offered as choices.
Most of us live in a state of confusion.
