Good user name suggestions for lurkers who are signing up!

i think we are stuck with the ones we have chosen but how about a thread with good ideas for name for those signing up?.

it is can be difficult to think of a good one at the moment of signing up so here's mine for any lurker that wants to be.

i've been looking for posts on the borg moving away from a literal understanding of isaiah 65:25 and couldn't find any.

i posted in the private support members only area with a much longer post and it's been pretty much ignored.

Think about the joyous sight of a cheetah feeding in the new system. Since we all know that Jah has a purpose for all of his creation it would be reasonable to think that the cheetah's speed will not be wasted. The cheetah will dine on only the freshest of leaves. But since cheetahs can not climb how will they be able to reach the abundance of leaves in the trees. This has already been provided for by our loving creator. As in the garden of eden the wind will blow in the afternoon and evenings. This will allow nourishment at the proper time as the leaves are provided for the cheetah. What a sight it will be to watch each cheetah use its speeds to chase down each leaf caught in the evening wind.

How Do We Help JWs Who Come To This Site?

the fact is this site is for anyone interested in jehovah's witness things, whether they are still witnesses or once were or just want to know about witness life.. what positive ways can we help a witness on this site?.

Circuit Assembly This Past Weekend "Safeguard Your Spirituality" -Everyone Please Enter-

so we had our circuit assembly this past weekend, and it was the first one in my life that i told my wife i would not be attending.

we had a brief conversation on why, and she said well just go to this last one with me, and then when we can discuss what we learn and compare it to why you've been expressing your "new" feelings towards the wts.. i love my wife, and as much as i thought i was gonna hate it i decided to go.

now that i no longer want to be a jehovah's witness it really didnt bother me that nobody hardly talked to me despite me living in this same area for 4 1/2 years, everybody views me as spiritually weak because i dont go out in service, rarely attend meetings, dont comment, lesson is never underlined, so the "friends" never interact with me anyway and i'm use to it, actually that's the way i prefer it.

In regards to the statement about Social Networking; It all comes down to control. What would the WT$ be if they did not have control. Isolation is very important when maintaining control. The more isolated you can make a group the easier it is to maintain control (information, behavior, creative outlets and support).

Cola at the District Convention

remember some of the garbage served at the district conventions?.

i was at the dollar store today and noticed they started carrying "shasta" cola.. i started laughing because they used to serve that skunk water at the district conventions when i was a kid.. they always brought in the cheapest, nastiest soda they could buy.. one year we had something called vess cola - that was actually worse than the shasta!

then, they ran out on sunday and had to buy pepsi from the local distributor - we were all rejoicing!!.

Don't get hit? Barring that try not to have the minimal amount of skin exposed. A good solid hit will raise a welt the size of a marble, leave a bruise the size of a silver dollar that gradually fades to yellow.

Have fun, it can be a big adrenaline rush.

Mouthy's 80th Birthday ---- Thanks to all

great big thanks to all who participated in my mother's 80th birthday.... it was great, and she was trhilled..... she had a smile on her face the whole day long.... so many showed up to celebrate, and those that couldn't shared by phone calls, cards, flowers and gifts.

the memory album i put together for her turned out great, so thanks to so many who sent me a page to put in, it's a memory she'll have forever.... all her children and grandchildren were there, except for the ones in montreal who are still jw's.. .

thank-you to all, a million times.

As a JW Were You or Someone you Knew Falsely Accused by Elders ?

thought i'd put this out there to see if you knew of people in the jehovah's witnesses who were falsely accused or mistreated by the " police " or elders in the congregation.

many times it's been by experiencing injustices that get us to get shaken out of our cult thinking mode and reality kicks in and the scales fall from our eyes that the wt society is just a man made organization whose leaders are no better than us - actually in many cases more unscrupulous and conniving than any of us would have ever been to each other !

i was falsely accused 2 times .
