  Hey Homer,

  I remember the 1969 Vancouver, BC assembly. I remember the tent city we stayed at in a farmers field. If memory serves there was an amusement park near the venue that had a simulated helicopter ride (helicopter body on a boom) that made lots of noise during the talks.

  Stay alive until 75.

  As A JW Did You Care About Old JW History, Old Light & Flip Flops?

  i used to look at the old stuff as info that the witnesses were progressively understanding.

  i didn't hold it against the witnesses if they changed understandings because after all the 'light was getting brighter and brighter".. as time went on, it did start effecting me.

  there were too many things i'd let slide by when i was younger that i just couldn't ignore any longer.

  One of the triggers for me was the official "we didn't say that about 1975." I was growing up and being raised a witness during that period. I know what what I read and heard. We belonged to a down-to-earth congregation and a majority of the adults took what was said with a wait and see attitude but there were some that had the opinion that it was game over in 1975. What a slap in the face to blame it on the rank and file for running ahead of the organization after the date came and went. That was the time when I decided to go to college even though it was strongly discouraged in the literature and talks. Step 1 in the waking process.

  How Do We Help JWs Who Come To This Site?

  when a witness checks this site out, they could think it's a jehovah's witness friendly site.

  the fact is this site is for anyone interested in jehovah's witness things, whether they are still witnesses or once were or just want to know about witness life.. what positive ways can we help a witness on this site?.

  i've been looking for posts on the borg moving away from a literal understanding of isaiah 65:25 and couldn't find any.

  Think about the joyous sight of a cheetah feeding in the new system. Since we all know that Jah has a purpose for all of his creation it would be reasonable to think that the cheetah's speed will not be wasted. The cheetah will dine on only the freshest of leaves. But since cheetahs can not climb how will they be able to reach the abundance of leaves in the trees. This has already been provided for by our loving creator. As in the garden of eden the wind will blow in the afternoon and evenings. This will allow nourishment at the proper time as the leaves are provided for the cheetah. What a sight it will be to watch each cheetah use its speeds to chase down each leaf caught in the evening wind.
