i'm thankfull today that you havent taken anything i said today on the other thread too seriously. i sometimes like to be a little outrageous.
take care
i try to start each day now with a few minutes of meditation on what i am thankful for.
i try to pick out just one thing each day and be thankful for that.. thinking about things i am thankful for rather than things that i cannot have is very peaceful.. love to all.

i was having my usual bible study on thursday, with an elder from our local kingdom hall.. we are about half way through the knowledge book.. when i brought up the u.n. scandal and the silent lambs thing he just walked right out my door.. i am left wondering if he will come next week or if i am disfellowshipped even before i am baptized?

to have been there and watch him pack up and walk out, would have been a complete scream to watch.
what floats your boat...revs your engine....lights your fire..(did i forget any?).

a few years ago, i watched a tv program saying that nuclear bombs were missing from the former soviet union's arsenal.
they call them suitcase bombs, since they can fit in a suitcase or backpack.
today, i read an article that stated the same thing, but they are quit sure now that bin laden has a few of these in his possession.
it doesnt scare me one bit.... what will be, will be.

by now many of you know i'm studying wicca, am in contact with a high priestess of a coven who's graciously answering many questions i have, and i'm also studying tarot cards online.. this past weekend the exercise with lesson three on the tarot was to do some sample readings.
some odd things have happened since then.
i bolded them for easier finding.. since then, my youngest daughter and i have heard a scratching sound that i took to be birds on the spouting, though we couldn't see it.
you see.... the WTS was right!
this was inspired by the story freedom96 posted earlier.
i was in foster care and was placed there right before halloween.
i celebrated my first halloween, and thanksgiving.
jes
that one present could mean more than all the Xmas's you could have put together. you are one person i've been fortunate to read about in this whole JW experience who has really moved me. lots of love to you jes!
the british journal of hematology 2002 119 25-37 makes interesting reading in its article by judith marsh and david bevan entitled 'haematological care of jehovahs witnesses'.
nothing new, but in view of what i heard recently from an jw acquaintance working in the hematology department of a local hospital it gave me some food for thought.
the long article necessarily of a scientific nature and therefore without any noted bias makes this point regarding the alteration in policy by the wts toward those jws who take blood transfusions as a matter of choice: .

thats right... what was the WTS encouraging JWs to say when asked about why they wouldnt do this or that? they told them to explain their convictions and not to say "it's my religion". hey, we wouldn't want people to think they were a cult now, would we?
just for fun, imagine if all of us here on this forum were in the same congregation.
i could just imagine the poor overseer's face.. "brother farkel, would you say the opening prayer"?

i wonder who would be disfellowshiped. and if anyone was disfellowshiped would they be reinstated?

I guarantee there are tons of Witnesses that have been baptised without really examining the blood issue!
yes!... i was one of them. it took me about 2 hours to reverse my view after carefull deliberation.
