Creative days
by rockhound ingenesis records that on the fifth creative day, the waters of the earth would teem with living creatures, and every winged bird would fill the sky.
at the beginning of the sixth creataive day, all the creatures that move along the ground were created.
keeping these texts in mind, i'd like to share with you some of my observations about this wonderful earth that have convinced me that the creative days of genesis were far longer than the 7,000 year long periods we were taught as jehovah's witnesses.

The two vultures think the bison has died. They were used to eating carrion before the flood and haven't eaten in a while.

LET US TRY AN EXQUISITE CORPSE
by Terry inamong surrealist techniques exploiting the mystique of accident was a kind of collective collage of words or images called the cadavre exquis (exquisite corpse).
based on an old parlor game, it was played by several people, each of whom would write a phrase on a sheet of paper, fold the paper to conceal part of it, and pass it on to the next player for his contribution.
i will begin the story.

If you are having computer problems
by Mulan inthis week i started having all kinds of computer problems just out of the blue.
i uninstalled the "really cool bionicle (or something like that) wallpaper" my 7 year old grandson installed a few months ago, and that cured the noise the computer was making............kind of a hissing sound.
i also ran the spy detector and found a few things to delete, but it didn't help.

I have an embarrasing web site try to pop up. My firewall blocks it but the taskbar shows its name at the bottom which contains a bad word. Probably a site I visited when I first got the computer and went crazy. I'm not crazy now, just borderline.

John 5:28,29 Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgement. The Aid book's explanation was convoluted, I don't remember what the other references said. Just reading this looks like one is judged on this life, not what you do in the new system.

What grammatical errors bug you the most?
by poppers infor me it's the use of : .
it's as a possessive - it's means "it is", so if you don't want to say "it is" don't use the apostrophe.
there are others that bug me but this one is the worst.

"ACTS of GOD"----- HOW DO YOU VIEW THEM?
by Blueblades inin view of the present hurricane season, i'm thinking about the time that i gave the above talk in november, 1992..here is the note to the speaker:.
help the audience to see that:.
( 1 ) many so -- called acts of god are often caused or made worse by men.. ( 2 ) true acts of god are often ignored by men to their peril.

So, when one prays and gets delivered from a so-called act of God, the prayer really was not answered. That seems the most reasonable explanation.

Is religion and faith not possible for some?
by littletree ini ask this question because i'm starting to have the scarey feeling that i was born "faithless".
other than feeling that babies and flowers are beautiful and miraculous, i have been having the darndest time feeling 100% sure that god exists and cares.
things that religious folks say are "blessings" i just see as the product of human effort and choice, or as stuff that probably would have happened anyway.

Man I think like that all the time. The only thing that makes me feel there may be a God is the design in creation and the infinitisimal sp? odds against some sort of quantum vacuum fluctuation starting it all. Hell, even that would require a preexisting quantum state and perhaps space for it to occur in. As to faith, I think it is a built-in (by whom?) self-help mechanism. Maybe God only pops up every few thousand years. That would only be a couple of days to him. So insigmificant yet suupposedly every hair on your head is numbered and you are worth more than many sparrows and are created a little lower than angels. I used to think there was no result from praying because my prayers were hindered due to lack of service, faith, and other unmentionables. Time may tell but not for us.
